The life of Thomas Arashikage has taken him down paths that have allied him with both G.I. Joe and Cobra. Now he's away from both sides of the war, and getting into trouble all his own! Storm Shadow returns in his own monthly title written by his creator Larry Hama!

The second issue of MY comic exploits came out recently. As always, Mr. Hama generously underestimates my potential and errs on the side of caution when telling the tales of my adventures. I did not kill a mere 5 spetznaz troops with a knife. It was closer to thirty and I used a paperclip and a wet sponge.
I would also be remiss not to point out that a certain G.I. Joe commando/ninja wannabe STILL does not have his own ongoing monthly series. Whereas I do. Suck on it, Nathan.
Oops! Did I give away your precious Top Secret name? Nathan David Smith of Rapid City, South Dakota? Whatever, Chump. Buy my monthly book, loser. And weep about it.

Bad news, Stormie. Looks like Devil's Due is axing this as of issue #7. They say it's a business decision. I'm not sure how America's Vomit--I mean, Elite--could possibly outsell something written by the God of All Things Joe.
I think DD takes the big-company approach to things, even though they seem to be unaware they're not a big company. Meaning that, like Hasbro or Marvel, they look more at the size of the profit, rather than the fact it's actually profitable. Sad.

That is most unfortunate. I was enjoying Mr. Hama's toned down essays of my exploits. I suppose this means I'll be back in the main book upstaging Nate again soon enough.
Holy fucking shit. Read this now. I don't care if you're a Joe fan. Read this.
This outdoes anything else Devil's Due has ever done with GIJoe. Larry Hama, unlike Chris Claremont, still has it.
I especially like that it's not toned down, but the way the violence is presented, there's nothing I'd not let a 10 year old kid read. You don't see that enough anymore.
I'm a bit concerned since this was supposedly cancelled as of #7. The paperback collects 1-5. There's probably no chance of a paperback collecting only two issues, especially with Devil's Due losing the license in a few months.
Coolest thing: There's a partial script by Hama. In one panel, he describes this almost fantastical sword move by Storm Shadow, and adds at the end: "I worked this out with a real sword, and it can be done. If it can be done, it can be drawn."
