SNL reruns on comedy central

most tv sucks these days, but there are some shining examples of good writing, acting, camera work, etc... we call those Deadwood and Arrested Development. Family Guy sucks ass, though...

That was a funny episode for sure, but the show is hit & miss (mainly Baldwin being the "hit" part for my sense of humor, Tina plays it pretty straight).

I planned on watching this, but by the time it started I had lost interest. SNL needs to do something to make more people give it another chance - airing at an earlier hour might do it for me.

SNL was awesome in the early 90s as well as the late 90s.

Some great stuff there, circa 1998 and the few years after that.

I know this might be blasphemous to some of you, but Kristen Wiig cannot retire from SNL fast enough for me. Wotta fucking attention whore. All her characters are the same. I can't stand her.

Ha. Sam L. Jackson totally dropped the F-bomb on the SNL Christmas episode tonight. Kenan Thompson stayed in character as DeAndre Cole on "What up with That?" and says, "C'mon Sammy, that costs us money you know."

Hilarious.

Watched the season premiere. SIX new cast members. All of them crackers. Only one of them has bewbs. It was hard to tell them apart. I think one of them is the AT&T cellphone spokesguy. Which is ironic, because Bill Hader left and he's the T-Mobile cellphone spokesguy now.

So SNL traded up. (Because AT&T is like the 2nd biggest phone provider and T-Mobile is like 5th or 6th or whatever. It's a toss up which service is more ghetto, T-Mob or US Cellular)

But my point is, the new cast is a honky convention.

Bill Hader is also the new voice of Mr. Peanut.

Every ex-SNL castmember's dream job.

I've mentioned here how I think Kyle Mooney is hilarious. Both he and Beck Bennett (the blonde guy from the AT&T commercials) were from a sketch group called Good Neighbor that hasn't put anything out in a while, and now I guess we know why. Kyle's more anti-comedy, like the Bruce Chandling stand-up bit he did during Weekend Update. I hope Beck doesn't get pigeonholed into the straight-man role now that Jason Sudeikis is gone (they even look alike) since he's pretty funny otherwise. I wonder what the third Good Neighbor guy, Nick Rutherford, thinks about his two buddies getting on the show without him. My girlfriend is way into SNL so I'll be watching it more now, so without familiar faces like Bill Hader and Fred Armisen at least it has these guys.
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

That Weekend Update guy was awful. What the fuck was that? It wasnt even awkward funny. He just flat out sucked. It's a shame Seth Myers is leaving in a couple months. Cecily Strong wasn't that good as the new co-/replacement anchor. Eh. Maybe she'll grow into it.

Beck Bennet seemed okay, but he's packed on a few lbs since the AT&T commercials. He best lay off that SNL catering table.
