I got some really good stuff. It seems like slightly less was spent for my stuff than in years previous, but more thought went into what I got:
Rock Band 2
two sets of pajamas (G1 Transformers and Stewie Griffin -- dumb as they might sound, I actually needed them)
a GIJoe t-shirt (the one from Target with several team members in front of the logo -- I think the image comes from one of those cool pack-in checklists they used to do, circa 1984)
latest books from Kurt Vonnegut and George Carlin (the two awesomest and most cynical SOBs of the last century... well, close, since, if you're going by 100 years in the past as opposed to "calendar centuries," you wind up including Mark Twain, who, nothing personal to either Vonnegut or Carlin, mops the floor with them when it comes to being a very bitter and very funny man)
a couple of ROC GIJoe Combat Heroes and a Cars Lighting McQueen (from a certain someone who probably will play with them more than I would

)
Amazon gift card (already used to order Pushing Daisies Season 2 and Ponyo on DVD)
Best Buy gift cards (as yet unused)
cash
Michael Jackson's
This Is It CD (which is mostly duplicate stuff, but I kinda wanted the unreleased tracks and wasn't willing to buy the whole thing myself to get them -- total surprise)
a Neil Diamond t-shirt (featuring young Neil, likely thinking, "Yeah, motherfucker, I just fucking wrote 'I'm a Believer' this morning before breakfast, then churned out 'Red Red Wine' while I was stirring my coffee! Beat that, bitches!" as opposed to old Neil being pelted by granny panties)
My wife got some pretty cool stuff, too, including some stainless steel mixing bowls that can double as double-boilers (seriously, we've been wanting these for a while), a few cookbooks (Julia Child's classic French cookbook, a canning book, and a pretty comprehensive-looking Vietnamese cookbook), and
Life Is Beautiful on DVD.
