my site was published in a book?

wtf? for shits and giggles i did a search for "vynsane.com" on google and found this page:

http://books.google.com/books?id=BrZU29 ... s#PPA51,M1

somehow, my site got published as #74 in the 505 weirdest online stores. i was never contacted to see if this was okay. i guess it's free publicity. but it's damn strange. of course the guy took my entire site as part of my "online store" which is really only a side-line at best. weird.

I actually love his whole review of the site, obviously he didn't find the forums or he would understand it all and therefor not thought of it as weird, but a lifestyle and then it wouldn't have been published.

Congrats, mi amigo!

Congratulations, I think.

Wonder why the dude wouldn't at least tell you he was using your site, though?

Awesome, every book should have this site in it

Psshh...that's not an accurate review. Nowhere in that paragraph did the dude mention "O yes" or "dusbuisdeeded".

It'll be in the Great Book of Peaches, or whatever it's called. But the site name will be misspelled.

That's really weird, but kind of cool as well. I wonder what he would have said if he met Sambo.

it is pretty funny. obviously the guy was just freakin' confused by everything. from a 'vynsane' standpoint, that's cool, but from a web design/usability standpoint, maybe i should think about a redesign/restructuring...

well, easy: nothing on the internet is the intellectual property of an individual.

well, the book was apparently published in 2005, and those are quite new developments. they might have completely changed his view of the site.

This is the kind of spontaneous publicity, your name in print, that makes people!

Such a great movie.

The Lord loves a workin' man.
Don't trust whitey.
See a doctor and get rid of it.

My senior quote is "I've got a special purpose" in hopes that people will think it's all sentimental and serious. I love this movie, but it pissed me off that very few of my friends liked it when I showed it to them a few months ago. Fuckers. :frus:

Aww, man, you should've said your senior quote was, "I'll have four fried chickens and a Coke." And put the whole thing that I'm too lazy to quote here. Then Diabolical would be all, "Dude, what the hell is that from? That sounds like it would be a funny-ass movie!" Then we can tell him it's The Blues Brothers, and he'll be all, "Dude, that's not cool," and we can hold up a roll of Mentos and it'll be all good.
