Amy Winehouse enters drug rehab program!!

LONDON - Amy Winehouse, beset by allegations of substance abuse, entered a rehabilitation facility Thursday to battle drug addiction.

The announcement came just days after the 24-year-old singer was pictured in British tabloid The Sun inhaling fumes from a small pipe. Police have launched an inquiry into the matter.
"Amy decided to enter the facility today after talks with her record label, management, family and doctors," Universal Music Group said in a statement.
"She has come to understand that she requires specialist treatment to continue her ongoing recovery from drug addiction," the statement said.
Winehouse, who is nominated for six Grammy Awards for her acclaimed "Back to Black" album, seems to be as famous for her drug problems as for her music. Since the album's U.S. release last year, she has canceled a slew of appearances amid reports of drug use.
The album's most popular song, "Rehab," references her struggles, and is a defiant anthem against entering a treatment facility.
"Amy is the most talented and important musical artist of her generation and has made huge strides on her road to recovery," the statement said.
Folks, if she is the most talented and important musical artist of her generation, 'tis a sad, pathetic generation indeed.

Eh, I say keep her out of rehab. That ugly limey would be better off six feet under anyway.

I like how she's a big deal after having two hit songs.
And she totally looks like shit as a blonde (not that she ever really looked that great).

JJL, do you whippersnappers still study Greek myths in school? Haven't you read the one about how Perseus cut off Amy Winehouse's head, and he had to use a reflective shield because looking her square in the face would turn her to stone?
She has a fine voice, but, damn, she honestly makes Rosie O'Donnell look hot. All of her songs are really gimmicky, though, so I don't expect her to be around long unless she can find a new shtick. Throwing naughty words into songs that sound like old Motown covers isn't especially groundbreaking. I can think of several up-and-coming R&B singers who are as good or better, and I hardly listen to R&B anymore.

Amy Winehouse is a liar! She's a traitor to the drug-using community! I thought she said 'NO' to rehab?! Way to turn on your chemically dependant fans, Amy.
I'm not a huge fan of Amy's, but I do like her. Somewhat. Hey man, she's a hell of a lot better than that Gwen Stefani twat knob. I have no idea why Gwen Stefani is famous. Really. Why. I think she spent the early days of her career doing "favors" for "record executives" in the "studio."
And you know why Amy Winehouse has that missig toof? It's cause she kicks serious ass! That, and she stores miscellaneous drugs in her false tooth. It's all good.
