Got two Classic Controllers and a Wii-dedicated SD cards. (With the known issues, I figured that was the safest route.) Now I can download all sorts of shit.

I went to Circuit City this weekend, but they didn't have any controllers or Wii points cards. They didn't have very many games, either. The only 2 they had that I wanted were NHL 2Kwhatever and Lego Batman. I might check a different store sometime this week.

I can scope the ones around here, but they're starting to dry up. I noticed that when they advertised the latest round of markdowns this weekend, a lot of Wii stuff vanished, even though it wasn't marked down any more than it had been. I think people thought they had, maybe. I was able to get the classic controllers and SD card, but at a Circuit City in a deserted area (La Quinta, near Palm Springs), one I didn't even know existed until about a week ago when I passed it by accident, even though I was in the area rather frequently.

Don't worry about it. It isn't a high priority. I don't know what I'd do with the Wii Points if I had them. My wife wanted to get the 3rd Wii controller in case we all wanted to play Mario Party.

So, I got Don King Boxing. It is a more in-depth version of boxing from Wii Sports that uses the balance board. Only played for a 30-45 minutes yesterday and my arms are tired.

Target's got a lot of Wii games on clearance, but they're not consistent from store to store. I saw one store with about 15 Super Mario Strikers (the soccer game) for $23 each, and another with 8 copies of Backyard Baseball 2K9 for $14 each. They didn't get marked down on Friday, so I'm assuming they will be this coming Friday (if they're still around). Also a lot of obvious shit games like "Imagine Party Babyz."
Check your Targets and see what they've got. Or if you want one of these two, let me know.

Anyone played Punch Out? I had an Amazon gold box deal for $2 off, and they were already $10 less than everyone else, so I just ordered it. I figure that, given the positive reviews it's getting, it's probably going to be at least a year before it's down to that price under normal circumstances.

It will be a while before I get any new games. With all the sales and clearances on games, I still have games I haven't played yet. In the past few months, I got Snowboarding, Don King boxing, Speed Racer, and Lego Star Wars for Wii. For PS2, I got NHL 2k9, The Simpsons Game, and Lego Indiana Jones. I haven't opened Snowboarding yet and only played Don King once. Played Speed Racer a bit. There really isn't much to it. Only paid $14 for the Simpsons game and I'm probably 2/3rds through it. It is ok, but can be frustrating and I'll probably trade it in without finishing it.

My wife was looking around the Mii Channel. She hit the parade. It seems that you guys have made a total of 235 Miis that have traveled to my Wii.

Star Wars Content Blasts onto Wii Virtual Console
Multiple LucasArts Super Nintendo games head to Virtual Console.
August 10, 2009 - REDMOND, Wash. - Fans of Star Wars and classic Nintendo games will want to keep an eye on their Wii Shop Channel for the next month. Nintendo will be releasing multiple LucasArts favorites for Virtual Console, starting today with Super Star Wars. In the coming weeks, both Super Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Super Star Wars: Return of the Jedi will be added to the Virtual Console lineup. All three Super Star Wars games were originally released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and will be available at 800 Wii Points each.
The arrival of the first three games will be accompanied by additional Star Wars-themed content on other Wii channels throughout the week. The Check Mii Out Channel will invite people to submit their best Mii character renditions of classic Star Wars characters. On the Everybody Votes Channel, users can cast their votes to help settle old debates, such as the proper order to watch the six Star Wars films, and who fired first - Han Solo or Greedo?
"Our expanded partnership with LucasArts brings the Star Wars and Nintendo universes together," said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. "These three Super Star Wars games represent fantastic additions to the growing Virtual Console library, and the exclusive Star Wars content on the other Wii Menu channels is sure to have people from different generations having fun and interacting with one another."
"Virtual Console on Wii is a great way to make these games available to our fans again, and it's an awesome opportunity to expose our classic console titles to an entirely new audience," said Darrell Rodriguez, president of LucasArts.
Additional classic LucasArts games for Virtual Console will be announced in the future.
Remember that Wii features parental controls that let adults manage the content their children can access. For more information about this and other Wii features, visit Wii.com.
Never really got into the SW games on NES or SNES.

The SNES games were the shit! Jedi was the best of the three.
And if you use Slave Leia and pause it at the right time during her spin attack, you can totally see her thonged ass.

I don't know if I ever played a ROTJ game other than the arcade version. Anyway, I sucked at the SNES games.

I'm sure that 16-bit ass was sexy.
