I got the FF poster too - and a hip little Green Lantern ring for my daugther. I need to read my comics though, big pile sitting there - some I haven't touched for 3 months. :(

Anybody hit free comic day? I git the new Spider-Man book with Mary-Jane (?!?) as a Superheroine named Jackpot. WHA??

Also picked up the Transformers Movie Preview issue where Megatron beat Bumblebee's ass so bad he can't speak in the movie.

And a Lone Ranger/Battlestar flipbook from Dynamite.

And because I didn't want to look like a mooching bastard, I bought the first six issues of Nextwave out of the bundle bin. Holy shit, that book is fucking funny. Why did no one tell me before it fucking got cancelled? In lieu of a letters page in issue 3, they print a discourse on the meaning of the song "Africa" by Toto. hilarious. And Fin Fang Foom wears purple underpants!!

Are you serious?
The red-haired "Jackpot" calls Spidey "tiger." And what was that famous first line of hers?

"Face it tiger, you just hit the jackpot."

Yeah, that was pretty obvious to me as well.

Well I made the connection about the line you turkeys, I just thought it was meant to have Peter going "Huh???", not that it was actually MJ.

If it IS MJ, that's stupid.

Back to new comics:

Wolvie Origins 14
Amazing Spidey 540
Thunderbolts 114
Something else?????
A bunch more FCBD stuff for Chuxnarky.

Yeah. I haven't read it, but I flipped thru it real quick and having [SO AND SO] as Ronin was a major letdown.

Runaways #26 - I only bought this one (and last month) because of that one guy that has that big white skull on his shirt was in it. And I'm done. I expected a lot more from Whedon, especially after his Astonishing X-Men run.

All-Star Batman and Robin #5 - The good AS series is finally back! Although, I'm still not 100% sure I like Frank Miller's take on Batman in this series (a giggling psychotic?).
Wonder Woman is a total dyke.
I also get the feeling that people are going to like this series more when it's collected in a trade.

Sparrow: Kent Williams #3 - The third in a series (obviously) of small art books, put together by Ashley Wood. Great stuff for the comic geek thats also a fine arts whore.

The plan for me is to buy Uncanny, Fallen Son, Mighty Avengers 3 and another Marvel book that I can't recall - but the plan hasn't come together just yet. :(

Wow! Ultimates 2 #13 AND All Star Batman & Robin #5 In the same week?!!? I had to check my calendar!!!

Explain to me how AS Batman is good again? Half the book was All Star JLA ( Dear God Superman needs to get laid) and the other half WAS psychotic giggling Batman talking about it being a good night. Hello cut and paste Frank. And there was that whole naked Alfred boxing thing. I had to reread it twice before I realized "Muscles" Pennyworth had a mustache. Jesus, why doesn't HE dress up like a Bat every night?? The only way this book would have been creepier was if Batman had turned around and molested the woman himself and she had been into it. I'm glad this only comes out once a year.
