Batman Begins: The best superhero film of all time

movies are cool. here is a place to talk about how cool they are. or maybe how much they suck, sometimes. like that fucking piece of shit 'mac and me'. worst fucking movie ever, a two-hour ad for fucking coca-cola.

Can someone please explain to me why so many people seem to think Harvey Dent/Two-Face is still alive?

Dude looked pretty damn dead to me.

I think he's dead, but at the same time it's also open to interpretation (until the third movie, at least). It's plausible that Harvey's death could be a cover-up, but unlikely. A popular theory on the net is that Dent is still alive, but in Arkham Asylum and that Gordon informed the public he was dead so the truth wouldn't come up. However, what's illogical about this is that if Two-Face were alive in Arkham, the real truth would have gotten out somehow, thus negating Batman's decision to take the fall for Harvey's crimes.

But on the other hand, when you think about it, it wasn't that high of a fall. If Maroni was able to survive the fall when Batman dropped him, then it's also possible that Two-Face could have survived. Both heights seemed about the same.

Personally, I think it'd be better if Two-Face didn't return in the third one. Let him stay dead. Harvey's story arc was probably the best in the film. It just seems like that's the farthest the character could go. This one portrayed Two-Face not so much as an insane criminal, but more along the lines of a vigilante. He brought down most of those responsible for Rachel's death and it ended with his tragic demise. I don't see the reason in bringing him back after that.

That is all well and good about the distance of the fall and all that, but that doesn't explain Harvey's obviously (or so I thought) dead body on the ground.

Gordon also "died" but "came back," so who knows.

He could be unconscious. His right eye is shut, and his left eye cannot be shut, so it's wide open even when he's out. The distance wasn't great, and there's no visible damage (aside from the presumption that he must be dead if his "bad" eye is staring blankly into space).

Wouldn't his eye get really fucking dry without an eyelid? You think he'd need to bust out the visine every five seconds.

I wonder how scared that kid playing the Joker would be if he actually saw the movie.

Is this movie really that violent?, and if so, why are they marketing towards kids? I swear they went over this back in the 80s with the Rambo movie/toy line.

The only reason they're marketing it a lot towards kids is because it's Batman.

Finally went and saw this movie last night with Bumcake, Killerpromqueen and Sex Ed. It was pretty good (still liked WALL-E better though) but it was much too long. I hate sitting in a theatre for that long...a little drawn out in the last half.
The Borg wouldn't know fun if they assimilated an Amusement Park.

It is pretty violent and graphic, perhaps too much for a PG-13 movie. But the toy line looks fucking terrible either way -- all I see are 97 different Batmans, the Scarecrow in a burlap sack, and "Ultimate Combover" Joker.

Does anyone know of any good nurse costumes? I'm thinking of being the Joker in that costume for Halloween, but I'm not sure. If I can find a good, reasonably priced, non-slutty nurse costume, I would go for it. So I can be around the other eight billion Joker costumes, but, you know, mix it up a little bit. (And it would be easier to do than the whole purple and green custom-outfit thing.)
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

And when you post pictures, we'll all say, "Helloooooooo, nurse!"

As for a non-slutty one, you might have to do some sewing. I've never seen one.

How about an actual nurse's uniform rather than a costume?
There are plenty of medical uniform stores out there.
