1. How much you wanna bet that US based companies will start charging a ‘patriot tax’ because they think they’re missing out on all the “profits” other companies are making off of tariff surcharges.

2. I painted an Easter egg with the Ukrainian flag’s colors. Slava Ukraini.

3. Elena Eleniak’s lucious big boobies in Under Seige.

I bought a ton of shit last weekend because I have no doubt something along those lines will happen. Big box retailers in particular will likely hike all prices up, because they rightly figure most Americans are too dumb to know what's from where (or how to check), and also they figure (again rightly) that those of us who do, well, what the fuck we gonna do about it? Stop brushing our teeth.

Actually, who the fuck knows? He caved on them almost immediately. At least it's all shit I'd need for the next few months; all I lost is the interest I would've made on what I spent. Which is less of a loss than my retirement savings. Ouch.

Okay, really fucking weird question.

I've found in the last few years that older women are hotter than they were when I was young.

Obvious case in point: Ming-Na Wen is 61. Bea Arthur was 63 when Golden Girls debuted, as was Betty White. Either looks like they'd be Ming-Na's grandmother (discounting the obvious issue of ethnicity).

Is it that we're old? I'm not sure that's entirely the explanation. I can see 20-year-old me wanting to bone the fuck out of 66-year-old Jamie Lee Curtis, who's just Jamie Lee Curtis with gray hair and a few wrinkles.

Has humanity made a minor evolutionary jump to adjust to extended lifespans? Is it that we're collectively taking better care of ourselves?

I've seen it speculated that it's fewer people smoking. So they're not only not prematurely aging themselves, but the secondhand smoke isn't fucking us all over.

All I know is Stevie Nicks is older than many dinosaurs (okay, older by over a decade than Dorothy Svornack or Granny Clampett), and she ain't the only woman technically old enough to be a great-grandmother and who middle school kids would totally whack it to.

1. It seems like people used to age way faster. I was watching the Ken Burns' Baseball documentary a while back. In the episode that covered the 1920s-1930s, they showed a picture of some player at the end of his career. You would guess he was in his late 60s or early 70s, but he was 40. At the end of last year, my mom sent me a picture of me when I was about 4 years old. I'm with my grandfather. He looked the same my entire life. I realized that he would have been about the same age as I am now in that photo.

2. Refer back to our previous discussion about Mrs. Howell from Gilligan's Island.

1 other random thought
3. I watched part of "Horror of Dracula" from 1958. Obviously it was about Dracula, but I saw it as Grand Moff Tarkin vs. Count Dooku.

1. Do you ever watch older movies and someone will mention a $ amount, and you go online to see how much that would be in today’s $? Marion Ravenwood’s $5000 demand for the headpiece in Raiders is roughly $115,000 today. Indy was casually walking around with $3000 in his pocket, which was nearly $70,000.

2. The McDonald’s Jingle ‘I’m lovin’ it’ was written by Justin Timberlake.

3. The largest tire manufacturer in the world is….Lego.

1. We were in Barnes & Noble yesterday. Apparently Playboy is still in print. I thought it went out of print and online only a bit after Hugh Hefner died.

2. My wife bought me a little 2' tree so I can put my mini Star Wars ornaments on it. The main tree has my kids and wife's ornaments. The rest of my ornaments are still in the garage.

3. Despite seeing both Sgt. Slaughter and Beachhead at Ross, I have managed to avoid venturing into the 6" GI Joe line.

1. Double Post. Suck it, Grimlock.

2. Speaking of Grimlock, I saw a some He-Man/Transformers crossover figures. Also, there is a Hot Wheels GI Joe Skystriker. Did I miss something about a Mattel/Hasbro partnership?

3. Just watched an episode of MASH from 1982. Dr. Freedman asks Col. Potter how old he is. Col. Potter says, "52". That confused me, so I looked up Harry Morgan, who would have been 66 when the episode was filmed.

I honestly think He-Man only exists for crossover figures that are dumb.

Bumblebee got crossed with Man-At-Arms. That makes no sense. Unfortunately, there's not an Autobot who's a cantakerous brawler type who is green with yellow and silver highlights....

A lot of people must think they were dumb, because the first time I saw them was on clearance at Target.

1. “Don’t Bring Me Down” by ELO is about the Skylab Space Station entering the atmosphere and burning up over the Indian Ocean in 1979.

1a. He’s not saying “Bruce”. He’s saying “groose” which some think is a variation of the German ‘gruß’

2. The characters on Gilligan’s Island are based on the seven deadly sins.
Skipper = Wrath
Gilligan = Sloth
Howell = Greed
Mrs Howell = Gluttony
Ginger = Lust
Mary Ann = Envy
Professor = Pride.

3. Susannah Hoff’s side eye. Giggity.
