I saw that and my first thought was "Didn't he die 25 years ago?"

And my second was "I thought he was 88 IN '88!"

Johnny Gaudreau (31) of the Columbus Blue Jackets and his brother, Matthew (29), were struck and killed by an alleged drunk driver while bike riding in New Jersey. They were about to attend their sister's wedding.

His baseball speech in ‘Field of Dreams’ always gives me goosebumps. I don’t even like baseball.

He said “Totes Mcgotes” in that commercial with Malcolm McDowell. I forgot what they were peddling, so the advertising firm failed in that regard.

Now I’m sad.

Dame Maggie Smith.

I have to say, I had a bit of an "Elizabeth Taylor" reaction earlier. She's been old my entire life and I've always associated her with older characters, and one article used a thumbnail of her from some ancient film where she was very much not old, and I thought, "Huh. She was actually smoking hot decades before I was around."

(We'd all have similar moments with Marilyn Monroe if she hadn't died young.)

The first thing I remember her from was Hook and Sister Act and she was already in her late 50s by then (plus, I think Hook might’ve aged her up with makeup to look even older).

I saw that on her IMDb page, but I couldn’t recall who she played. And I haven’t seen the original since Reagan was in office.
