How I realized I was over Star Wars completely

movies are cool. here is a place to talk about how cool they are. or maybe how much they suck, sometimes. like that fucking piece of shit 'mac and me'. worst fucking movie ever, a two-hour ad for fucking coca-cola.

An actor who appeared in the original three Star Wars films was apparently injured in a plane crash today. He played a character named Hans.

Watched most of the Rebels episodes I missed - can't find the Lando episode for some reason.

The identity of "Fulcrum" was obvious. I assumed that's who it was from the beginning, although I hoped I was wrong.

If/When there is a sequel, will it be Rogue II or Rogue One II?

The first Star Wars spin-off film, written by Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Chris Weitz (Cinderella, About a Boy, Antz) and directed by Gareth Edwards (Godzilla, Monsters), based on a story by Industrial Light and Magic chief creative officer and effects legend John Knoll, will be titled Star Wars: Rogue One.
Iger said that the characters and events in the spin-off films will “go well beyond the core star wars saga.” He also confirmed the earlier reports that actress Felicity Jones will have a starring role in the spin-off film. Star Wars: Rogue One starts shooting this summer (2015) in London and is due for release on December 16th, 2016.

As if Star Wars wasn't watered down enough now they're just gonna send a dump truck of water down on it.

They can pump out a Star Wars movie in 18 months? Sounds like they are aiming for Ewok movie quality.

Water usually isn't transported by dump truck.

They're just trying to "Marvel" the brand (like every other studio lately).

Hey, they've gotta make that $4 Billion back somehow.

And now this movie is just gonna make the Boba Fett fanboys salivate thinking they'll get a movie dedicated to him. I'd thoroughly enjoy and relish the fact that the theaters would be relatively empty if it was a movie about just him. I just don't think he's interesting at all but "ZOMG! He has the flamethrower and is a bad ass killah!!11!"

The only reasons anyone cared about Boba Fett in the first place:

1. No one knew anything about him, other than he was a "bounty hunter" which was pretty cool.

2. He looked cool.

3. He was free, with 5 proofs of purchase.

They've completely fucked up point 1, and point 2 doesn't seem to have enough weight to it to carry a movie, but I guess we'll have to see what they do.
