'nam 69. A Punisher appearance.

The time has definitely passed, but I always thought it would've been cool, since Hama was the editor (at least at first) and they were willing to break from the normal narrative twice to have Punisher flashbacks, if there'd been a story or two about Snake Eyes' LRRP at some point. It'd still be kinda cool if they could do that, just obviously not in The 'Nam anymore.

I wonder if that series has been reprinted? It seems like it might be worth reading, even with the couple of short Punisher breaks.

If not, you can get them for next to nothing at cons. When I picked up the few Punisher ones last time, I think I got them for .25 or .50 each. And getting an entire run (or close to it) didn't look that tough.

Bought another long box. The dealer had recently purchased somebody's collection and most of the books were bagged and boarded. That's nice in one respect, but it means less space when youre filling up a long box since bags and boards take up space that could go to loose issues. So I had to stack about 60 extra books on top of the box and paid and extra $20 for them. All told I got 380 issues for $130.

Did you get (or do you already have) "Worlds Collide" from Transformers: Armada? That was the only time that series kicked ass. Basically Unicron brought a bunch of G1 Decepticons to that universe as his heralds.

In preparation of my bi-annual sorting session, I went to a shop across the river with a plan to purchase some Drawer Boxes only to find they were currently sold out. So I pre-purchases 4 of them for next week, as well as 2 regular long boxes because I really need someplace to start sorting books.
Then I went to another shop across the river and got some boards. While I was there I went through their 50 cent boxes and came away with 52 books. That's not a huge haul for me, but for some of you that's a years worth of books.

I see the Motor City Comic Con Facebook page announces "Xtrava-Con Sunday" every so often, although this has never popped up on my news feed. Fucking Facebook.

This was the last one:

Motor City's Xtrava-Con Sunday, December 28 in Livonia, MI. There will be 50 booths of dealers selling over 100,000 comic books(thousands for 50cents-$2 each!), toys, non-sport cards, videos and more! The show will be at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 19801 Farmington Rd.(Between 7 & 8 Mile RD) in Livonia, MI. Hours: 10am to 4pm, Admission is $3. There's hourly door prizes and tons of collectibles for sale and trade. Get out of the house and join a few hundred of your fellow collectors for a day of fun!

The one I go to regularly isn't nearly that big. It's half a dozen to maybe up to ten guys. The guy who runs the show's name is Alan and he's the guy I primarily dig thru his boxes because he routinely replenishes from people selling their collections to him or comic shops ALL throughout the Midwest selling their overstock (or they go out of business) dirt cheap. He then passes the dirt cheapness onto us. He sets up 8-10 tables in the center of the "convention" room at the Hotel and that's like 80+ some boxes every time.
If I have cash left over I'll look at the other tables for stuff, but mostly I just cram long box full from his boxes.

A couple times a year, the local comic shops have a larger show that's like what you describe above, with 30 or so dealers.

I live in the Quad Cities on the Iowa/Illinois border and I'm graced with an over abundance of comic shops. In Iowa there's 3 shops, and Illinois has 5. I have my primary shop that I've frequented since I was a teenager, but I try to make a circuit every few months to the other shops just to see what's new. Like on FCBD I'll bounce around to as many as possible since my guy doesn't bother with it.
