Re: What have you watched lately?

Kraven the Hunter. As far as Sony Spidey movies go, it’s closer to the Venom movies in quality than it is to Morbius and Madame Web. But that’s a low bar. The CGI is terrible(the “lion” and the Rhino were just hard to watch). Russell Crowe is at the ‘take a paycheck and chew scenery’ stage of his ca...

Re: LEGO!

Bricklink Series 7 final five dropped today. They won’t be available to buy until February of next year. Sushi restaurant looks awesome. Also want the Frigate Fortuna to go with my Imperial Flagship. Alchemist’s Hut if I can afford it, but not high as the other two. Not interested in the Antiques or...

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?

This week’s books. Absolute Superman 5. In the present, Kal is hunting down the Peacemaker who killed 23 innocent civilians. He gets contacted by the AI Brainiac algorithm, who offers Smith's location if Kal meets with him/it. In the past, Krypton finally explodes and everybody except Kal dies. Amaz...

Re: LEGO!

Built my Brick Cross station. Have to find a suitable location in my Lego city, as I’m running out of room already. I didn’t add the train tracks on the back side since there’s no room to add additional track anyway.

Re: MCU Topic

I do not think that was Frank that showed up in the final seconds of DD episode 3.
He’s being framed. And when he finds out, he’s gonna be pissed.

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?

The ‘G’ books. Gambit 1-5. Chris Claremont returns with this retro-series set around X-Men 267 when Gambit was first introduced, and he and de-aged Ororo were getting up to mischief. A mafia boss is trying to oust an ex-Marine and her mother out of their home with the help of obscure superhuman Warh...

Re: A Song Of Ice And Fire

The first five novels were released in a 15 year time frame between 1996 and 2011. We are approaching a 15 year gap between the 5th and 6th book.

I looked to see if they were ever gonna do a comic adaptation of Storm of Swords, and started down a rabbit hole of the franchise in general.

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?

Some more back reading. Fury oneshot. Al Ewing wrote this celebration of 60 years of the world’s greatest superspy. He deftly weaves a tale of different eras of Nick Fury, from WWII thru the “60s” era(sliding timescale notwithstanding) up to the present day with Nick Fury Jr carrying on his dad’s le...

Re: Big score........

What’s the opposite of a big score? One of the tables at last week’s mall show said he had a store across the river. Last Monday, I went to check it out and it was closed. So this week, I thought I’d try it again, but on a Saturday. Closed again. (His actual closed days are Tues and Wed). That’s two...

Re: MCU Topic

I don’t want to recklessly speculate on upcoming plot points because we will invariably be let down when our ideas are cooler than what shows up onscreen.

That said, I think Chris Evans is coming back to play a Wild West sheriff version of Cap in Secret Wars ala the 1872 Secret Wars miniseries.

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?

This week’s books (what?? already? You just bought them yesterday! I did, and there was inclement weather so I skipped work yesterday and read my new pile o’ comics…) Batgirl 5. Batman:Full Moon 4. Birds of Prey 19. Dr. Strange of Asgard 1. OWUD tie-in. Now that Strange has lost his job to Emperor D...

Re: MCU Topic

First two episodes of Daredevil:Born Again dropped this week on D+. A shocking death to start off the new series. And then a lot of Mayor Fisk and Lawyer Murdock stuff for the rest of the two episodes. DD doesn’t even appear in episode 2. It’s cool seeing Hector Ayala in live action, but given the s...

Re: MCU Topic

Yeah, but I wasn’t sure if it was fake outrage or like ‘oh nooooo…you’ve seen our art(whaddyathink??)’ winkwink.

It’s cool all these TV shows from the last six years are paying off.
