Re: Celebrity Death Pool!

I haven’t watched Popeye since I was five years old. Can’t remember a single thing about, so I must’ve thought it was boring as shit.

But, yes, Duvall as Olive Oyl and Matt Lillard as Shaggy are the benchmarks for dead-on casting.

Re: How I realized I was over Star Wars completely

Watched 5 this morning. Cool fight scenes. Poorly lit.
When Osha told Yord to turn off his sabre because of the bugs, I said “but that’s this episode’s only light source. How will we see what’s happening?”

Re: How I realized I was over Star Wars completely

Watched episodes 3 and 4 this evening. It didn’t take long because each episode was about 15 minutes long.

I Am Iron Man 1-5. A mini by Murewa Ayodele and Dotun Akande. Commissioned for IM’s 60th anniversary. Less of a strait narrative and more of a series of stories that emphasize the traits that make Tony and Iron Man heroic. It was different, but not bad. Jackpot: Gang War oneshot. MJ uses her new pow...

Re: LEGO!

The X-Men jet set has barely 350 elements in it. $85?? Get the fuck outta here. Even with the licensing Jack up fee, that’s exorbitant for a set that small. That’s 25 cents per brick.

Sloths make love for hours.

They fuck for ten minutes in dirty bathroom stalls like the rest of us.

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?

The current run of Invincible Iron Man by Gerry Duggan and (mostly)artist Juan Frigeri pretty much is one big long X-Men tie-in, as Duggan was writing both this series and the X-Men title during the back half of the Krakoan saga. Iron Man 1-4. Having divested himself of all his stock and control in ...

Re: LEGO!

Came home from work to find a package on the back porch(luckily no porch bandits had made off with it). Brought it inside, having no clue what it was. My wife casually told me I could open it, so I did. Lego Bumblebee! Awww yisss. She had it pre-ordered and shipped almost before I even knew it exist...

Ultimate X-Men 4. I’m not really digging this series. I guess Peach Momoko is not my cup. Uhmmm…Armor uses her powers and a bunch of people take pictures of her. Uncle Scrooge and the Infinity Dime oneshot. An evil Scrooge travels the multiverse stealing the One Dime from a bunch of different Scroog...

Superior Spider-Man 8. Spider-Man is battling an entire city of Doc Ocks who are regular citizens possessed by spiders being controlled by Spider-Boy who is under the influence of Otto’s brainwave swappy machine. But when Otto finds out his crush Anna Maria has also been ‘possessed’(she’s faking it)...

The Jurassic Park:Brachiosaurus Discovery set was on clearance at WM, so I grabbed one. The original price of $80 was way too high considering it’s just the dino, a tree, and the Jeep(512 piece count). $60 is also a little too high in my opinion, but that scene is, to me, the quintessential JP momen...

The ever-expanding current pile. Vengeance of the Moon Knight 6. Blood Hunt tie-in. The Midnight Mission continues to protect the people of the night, with its two own personal vampires, Reese and Soldier, as well as 8-Ball, fighting against vampire hordes and ushering civilians to the safety of the...

Re: The current state of disarray at Marvel

I’ve been keeping current with the Blood Hunt event and all the tie-ins as they’ve been coming out for the past couple months. I’m not bothering to recap them because it’s mostly just whatever hero headlining the mini fighting vampires. Wolverine:Blood Hunt? Wolvie fighting vampires. Union Jack the ...
