Re: I am joining the PTA...

My youngest turned 21 last week. To celebrate we decided to try one of those escape rooms. It was me,my wife, and both my 25 year old daughter and my son. It was going fine until things in the room weren’t working properly. There was a ‘word’ lock to open up a locker and we figured out the word was ...

Re: Netflix Original Series

The WB Harry Potter (not to be confused with a Netflix series, just providing info to compare with the last post) is going to apparently be 7 seasons taking place over 10 years. They are planning for it to to be the most expensive series ever, apparently. If it does well, Disney will announce they ...

Re: What have you watched lately?

In conclusion, this movie should not be confused with Buckaroo Banzai. Did I mention it has probably been 40 years since I've seen either of them? The Confusius guy guiding someone rings a bell. And, I remember Buckaroo Banzai driving a car really fast through a mountain. That's about it. Definitel...

Paul Neary; artist, inker, writer, editor. Age 74. I mostly associate him with Alan Davis. He’d ink Davis’ pencils on Excalibur, X-Men, Detective Comics and plenty of other stuff. He also was the editor on Marvel UK and introduced us to Death’s Head II, Motormouth, Dark Angel, Digitek, etc. He also ...

Re: What have you watched lately?

Remo Williams:The Adventure Begins. This was a pretty subpar generic “action” flick from the 80s. NYPD cop Fred Ward dies under ridiculously stupid circumstances, but he didn’t die. Instead he’s given facial reconstruction surgery without his permission and recruited without his permission into a sp...

Re: LEGO!

Used my VIP points and got the Loop Coaster. The GwP is a micro build of three Classic Space sets.

There’s a new Medieval Town Square set coming out soon. It will go nicely with the Blacksmith set I got last year, and also my Medieval Market Square set from 2009.

Re: What have you watched lately?

I saw Remo on one of the streaming services and was also gonna rewatch that. I feel like they tried to turn Remo Williams into a TV series at one point, but I feel like it had a different name and didn’t last very long. To the internet! EDIT It was a Pilot that didnt get picked up for series. So I r...

Basic. A military whodonit from 2003 starring John Travolta and Samuel Jackson. To date, this was John McTiernan’s last film. He had a fucking rock solid resume in the 80s and 90s. Predator, Die Hard, Hunt For Red October, Die Hard With A Vengeance, Last Action Hero, Thomas Crown Affair. Even Medici...

Re: The current state of disarray at Marvel

I suspect publishers need to cycle thru older properties and give them a new miniseries every several years to keep the IP “current” and not lapse into some situation where the name can get swiped by a different company. Case in point, Night Thrasher started a new miniseries this week. It was a fair...

Some eagle-eyed viewer noticed an issue of Secret Wars laying on the far left of the screen in that final shot of Wade laying on the ground.
I zoomed in. It’s the typeface logo of Hickman’s 2015 series.

Jeff Goldblum was in a SB commercial for apartments.com where he’s renting to some aliens.

Then he just appeared in a commercial for homes.com with that annoying Schitts Creek guy.

So which is it, Jeff? Do you want us to rent or to buy?
PICK A FUCKING LANE JEFF GOLDBLUM.

Re: Netflix Original Series

Netflix is doing a live action Avatar the Last Airbender series. It might be good, it might suck. But I really enjoy the original animated series. It might be one of my favorite mythologies/stories that didn’t originate in my childhood. My wife and kids were watching it several years ago and I was o...
