Re: G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero
Also, the comments on social media are surprisingly positive. Yes, there are the mouthbreathers grumbling "wokedy woke woke I'm going to go suck a stranger's dick now." Those dipshits will always exist. But for once they're the minority. Which is funny because this is literally a Latina wh...

Re: G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero
So, this is happening. We can't get fucking Billy after 40 years, but Dawn is dropping this summer. I am absolutely not complaining (although, really, come on, Billy's a goddamn cyborg ninja who's Cobra Commander's son!). I pre-ordered my first non-Ross clearance Joe figure in ages and look forward ...

Re: Transformers
Huffer was... I want to say about four years ago. It's a glorious figure. I missed Gears. He was one of those end-of-packaging waves that was tough to find. At least the "normal" one. I've seen the retro one, but I don't like that face, at least not when the other updated Minibots have car...

Chuck Negron of Three Dog Night, 83, combination of heart failure and COPD.
Fuck the haters, that band kicked ass, even if they didn't write their own songs.

I don't have most of the appearances in between, but Giffen did originally create Lobo. Not sure if what he became was always in Giffen's mind or what, though.

Re: Celebrity Death Pool!
Catherine O'Hara, 71. I don't know the reason yet, but who cares? We now live in a world without Sally, Moira Rose, Mrs. McAllister, or whatever role comes first to your mind.
Absolute fucking legend.
Absolute fucking legend.
Re: MCU Topic
Yeah, I thought it was weekly, but for some reason they decided to drop it all at once. I figured I was going to watch an hour of TV and wound up watching a bit more than four. (The episodes are mostly just over thirty minutes each.)
Re: MCU Topic
Wonder Man is a winner. Not like any Wonder Man comic I've read, but it's an excellent series. Sadly, there's very little marketing, and what there is is pretty terrible, so I fear this one will be a bomb. And, as they usually do, Disney will be completely unable to accept it was a failure of market...

Re: R.I.P. and Thanks for Everything
There was a brief time when Spectacular was by DeMatteis and Buscema, Amazing was by Michelinie and Larsen, and Adjectiveless was by McFarlane (but we won't hold the scripting part against him). This was followed by a brief time when Spectacular was by DeMatteis and Buscema, Amazing was by Michelini...

Sal Buscema, 89. Probably not a popular opinion, but he's neck and neck with Erik Larsen as my favorite Spidey artist.

Re: Don't we have a "What are you listening to lately?" topic?
So I was streaming random thrash metal the other day, and a particular good song I'd never heard came on, and I looked to see who recorded it. The name of the band was "Sacred Reich." I've heard of them before, but the name was an instant "fuck no." Now I was torn, since they sou...

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?
I recall really liking the stuff with Sabé and Exegol in the DV run, but most of the rest being 90s-style over the top comic book horseshit. Dark Droids is so fucking absurd, especially wedged into the overcrowded year between ESB and ROTJ, and, yet, it actually works. BTW, the woman from the lights...
