most tv sucks these days, but there are some shining examples of good writing, acting, camera work, etc... we call those Deadwood and Arrested Development. Family Guy sucks ass, though...

I'm pissed off. Charlie Cox has a fantastic rug of hair on his chest and they shaved him bald for this show. So sick of this emasculation of guys. Aiden Turner of The Hobbit and the UK version of Being Human has also been shorn for his role in historical drama Poldark. Thankfully they only trimmed him but what is so bad about body hair? Must everyone look like a farking Ken Doll? Speaking of alterations, did you see what they did to Richard madden of Game of thrones for Disney's Cinderella? They literally made him look plastic. Nuclear blast white teeth and PVC smooth complexion. Farking abysmal.
Daredevil though, to get back on topic. I probably won't see this for some time. I daresay my other half will like it. For a bourgeois pacifist he loves him some violent action. He actually liked the Affleck movie of DD so this should give him a proper chubby.

planned on watching only the first episode late last night, ended up watching three. so great. i agree, the fight scenes are incredibly visceral - street-level, knock-down drag-out style.

the costume is okay. i'm sure it will evolve further in subsequent seasons. they sure gave it a slow burn getting there, though.
who else picked up that Madame Gao is possibly from K'un L'un or one of the other capital cities of heaven? the homeland "a great distance further" than China? and that the stamp on her heroin was the Steel Serpent emblem.

So, the dude talking to Stick: when he refers to "the doors open[ing]," I'm not totally misreading that and it is indeed an Iron Fist reference, right?
