most tv sucks these days, but there are some shining examples of good writing, acting, camera work, etc... we call those Deadwood and Arrested Development. Family Guy sucks ass, though...
I finally finished Luke Cage.
It is a lot slower than DD or JJ, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.
And yes, the show is black as fuck, but again, not a bad thing. Only a handful of crackers to be seen.
Lots of connective tissue and references to MCTVU/MCU.
As usual, plenty of nods to readers, like the original costume, "Sweet Christmas," someone telling Misty Knight she could lose her arm, etc.
I'm looking forward to seeing how everything plays out and fits together in The TV Avengers Defenders.

Not Netflix, but Freeform (which I think used to be ABC Family?) is getting into the Marvel Superhero TV game.
They're making a Cloak & Dagger series.
And now they've announced a New Warriors series.

So the lineup is strange. It's Squirrel Girl, Mr Immortal, Night Thrasher, Speedball, Debrii, and Microbe.
The first two were actually Great Lakes Avengers.
The other four were from the iteration of NW that had a reality show and their deaths are what kicked off the original Civil War event.
Debrii and Microbe probably have a dozen appearances COMBINED. Apart from the six issue NW miniseries they were in, and the opening pages of CW, I don't know if they've ever been in any other comic.

Freeform is owned by ABC which is owned by Disney, so I'm thinking it's part of the MCU, but like the Netflix series and Agents of SHIELD, there will only be passing references to the movie stuff and other shows to keep them "connected".
Also, there's gonna be a Runaways show on Hulu. Produced by the guy that did Chuck, The O.C. and Gossip Girl.
I think Marvel TV should be making way more of an effort to have all their TV shows interact. DC is lucking out by having all 12 of their shows on one network(The CW should just be renamed the DC). But having Coulson and his team show up in the Netflix series or any of these new shows, even for a moment, would make fans flip their shit. Or doing some kind of huge crossover Event like DC did Invasion last year.

Freeform is also doing the laughable Cloak & Dagger, which I really hope isn't part of the MCU.
Clark Gregg is a big Iron Fist fan and was campaigning to have a cameo on the show for a while, which obviously didn't happen.
The one thing that really bugs me is Avengers/Stark tower is never seen in the New York skyline during the Netflix shows. According to the movies, it looks like its not that far from the Empire State Building.

I’m thinking Marvel is just prepping all these shows/characters for a move over to Disney+.

I got burned out on trying to keep up with all the Super-Hero TV shows a couple years ago. I was trying to binge all the CW shows, and SHIELD, and the Hulu shows, and I just stopped.
So I waited awhile and tried restarting, but I still wasn’t feeling it. I got thru the first episodes of the final seasons of Luke Cage and Iron Fist and wasn’t feeling them, so I stopped again.
Last night, I finally tried Daredevil season 3, and it must’ve been good enough, because I binged the first 4 episodes and stayed up until 4:00 AM doing so. So I’ll try and finish the rest of DD over the next few days, and then maybe try Punisher season 2 and see how that goes.
