Reasons to hate the 90s

Does anyone know of a site devoted entirely to the worst costume changes in comic book history?

Logically, there should be dozens of these, but I've been able to find jackshit.

I discovered this last night, when responding to a thread at wallcrawlersweb about Bucky America's new shit costume. I found all but one of the crap costumes I wanted for this purpose (Superman Blue, Captain Punisher, Gray Armor Daredevil, and Two-Dollar Whore Sue Richards) on comics.org because I knew roughly the issue numbers (or at least the years) that the costumes were worn.

But, for the life of me, I couldn't find the Nick Fury armor. Not even on Nick Fury fansites.

I hardly ever read Nick Fury, but I know for a fact this armor existed. It would've been sometime around 1993-1995, and it was an embarassment. Previews had a full page ad with the cover, and Nick looked like a Liefeldian Cable, only with an eyepatch instead of a scar. (They may have even made his hair white.) I distinctly recall making fun of this POS costume with friends at the time the Previews came out.

So, why isn't there such a site? And, if there really isn't, anyone here want to help me put one together? It'd be really simple, just a lot of scans. I find it odd that there are so many "it's funny once" sites out there, but nothing like this, which could actually be a valuable resource to nerds looking to improve their arguments on how much a new costume sucks.

And I know there'd be a lot more. A lot more.

It's not appropriate to the character, but it does look cool. I'm talking the original, which was about 85% Bruce's, with the claws and batarang-launchers. Then he started tinkering with it. In the end, it was the first Azrael suit with a cape and Batman head. Most of the interrim versions kinda blew, but it was such a gradual change it'd be impossible to list all the little variations.

eh... i thought the gauntlets were a bit weird looking with the original costume. they fit a bit better with the latter versions. i think the cape version was a lot better than the bladewings or whatever, but i don't think it doesn't belong on the list of bad makeovers, even if the idea was to make you hate the jean-paul valley version. while the bad makeover FIT the purpose of the storyline, it was still a bad makeover.

Vance Astro in his Major Victory costume is a travesty.  The mullet. The sleeveless trenchcoat/duster. The headband.

Still, no Azrael-as-Batman costume compares to the sucktitude of his Agent of the Bat costume. I'm convinced that this is what got the book cancelled. (He may have gone back to the original, but the damage was done.)

a topical aside, btw, but cory walker (co-creator of invincible) just so happened to do a sketch on his scatchblag of the "iron cap" armor, coinciding, coincidentally, with the release of the new alex ross design.

Vyn, maybe a "What the hell were they thinking?" might be a little more open. It could mainly focus on re-designs, but uninspired/bland/plain stupid relaunches. Like the undead Punisher: he technically wore the same costume as when he was alive. But no one would argue against that being the dumbest thing in history.

The late 90's were a real blackhole for Marvel. Can anyone think of anything decent or lasting that got created during that time period?
