little of column a, little of column b. the debate itself holds little interest for me, but by the very fact that i never had those cassettes and i never read the comics as a kid, the TV show was all i have to go by.

If you want to be really technical, Rumble does not have piledriver arms, either. He produces low-frequency waves that are transmitted to the ground through his feet.

I always wished Rumble would have been red/black in the show, somehow the toy just looked SO much sharper

I think the Dreamwave comics cleverly circumvented that issue by making them two separate characters, to great effect.

Make that two...Based on the TV show as I didn't have the toys. You can blame my parents for buying me Soundwave, but none of his cronies. Eventually I managed to get Ravage from a comic shop in the mall, but I think he was the Japanese version.
