Yarna might be my last new figure.

I think the time has come. I'm not buying the animated stuff at all, and I'm not too enthused about the rest of the ROJ wave, other than possibly Bane Malar. The recent break in spending has been REALLY welcome - and makes me think I'd like to keep up with NOT spending the dough on toys.
I will continue to try and piece together my vintage collection though, I'm still wanting about 4 or 5 more so I'm complete without the POTF figures.

I agree JJ, I have been so happy with not buying anything in the last few months. I am thinking of selling off Titaniums and GH stuff. I just have no urge to buy those anymore. I only want Yarna and Bane from the new stuff, but also want the regular CW figures.

I'm going to be far choosier from here on. I'm passing on roughly 85% of what's coming out now. I got the two TFU Stormies, and will get the black Royal Guard if I see it. If not, eh.
My daughter actually likes the Stormies more than I do. They're not even opened. I find that amusing. I might start buying her toys instead.
She loves Speed Racer. No lie. She takes every opportunity to fire up the Mach Six's noises, or play with the McDonald's cars. And she dances when she hears the theme song. I'm not saying she has any idea what it is, but she loves it.

Wow, you summed up my thoughts precisely! I am also going to concentrate on renewing some of my played with vintage figs and get some vehicles I never got back in the day and I am also going to get a few choice GG busts and statues. I'll continue to pick up random OT wave figures if they are good sculpts but that's it and no more army building either. I even decided to pass on the millennium falcon. This money saving is just too good *thumbs up.
I feel kind of sad about it, but I'll still be able to enjoy what I already have that much more!

Look out, that's what I did during the ROTS year and I have to say, getting vintage figures is addictive but even more expensive than getting carded figs.
There's a list of vintage weapons for trade over in the trade forums on SSG, so if I have an extra you need I can hook you up.

There's so few of them though, Jon, that it must work out in your favor dollar for dollar - wouldn't you say? I have no intention of buying any POTF figs until a deal literally falls into my lap, and I really don't mind if it never does. I'll be happy once I'm back to where I was as a kid with the few missing I wanted back then on my shelves. I basically need a nice Bespin Leia and that's about it.

I'm not quite ready to quit just yet. Hasbro is producing less and less OT figures I actually want and I refuse to buy another Vader. I'm not too keen on buying any more Hans, Lukes, and Chewbaccas either. So if that means I'm only buying 3 or 4 figures a year now, so be it.

Good way of looking at it, RII. Even since I started this thread I've been trying to justify buying just this whole wave to finish things off.... but it'll be very hard to pass up "new" OT figs down the road.

I dunno... I only have saber R2 and Yak left to get, and in the 3 years I've been getting vintage, I can safely say I spent more than I did in any given single year collecting modern. 96 might have been close as I got basically every single product Hasbro put out. Getting the minor old school figures is fairly cheap to do, but the first 12, a couple of choice others like Blue Snags and then the POTF line makes for a big cash outlay. Heck, POTF loose alone can run easily run close to a grand.
If you need a nice bespin Leia, I happen to have a pretty great example minus the blaster you can have.

Well, shoot. I've got six extra Yak Faces, and you can have one.
(No, not really. I just wanted to feel like I was part of a group.
