the vynsane asylum

i got the 2-disc DVD that has the extended/alternate ending version. only having watched the ending, not anything in the meat of the extended version, i have to say i wish they had put that one in theaters instead. it makes for a much more interesting/introspective movie experience than the original theatrical ending.

anyone else seen it?

I just watched the theatrical version last night. I thought it was quite good.
I thought the only different in the other version was the end?

i wasn't sure, seeing as how i was surprised to see the entire movie again on disc 2. i figured it would be a "special features" extra thing, as opposed to the entire movie again with the different ending. seeing as how it was the full movie again, i thought maybe it had other differences aside from the ending. i read somewhere that the disc 2 version is 4 minutes longer, but the alternate ending was much MUCH shorter than the theatrical release, so it's quite possible that there's more stuff in the 'meat' of that version.

That does make a lot more sense. I'll have to give disc 2 a viewing here soon.
