Football

most tv sucks these days, but there are some shining examples of good writing, acting, camera work, etc... we call those Deadwood and Arrested Development. Family Guy sucks ass, though...

Moderators: Batman, Zero, John Madden, Bob Ross, General Zod, Richard Simmons

And they went on to win the title after that road win. I have 0 faith in Brock Purdy. I think the Lions are going to have a great game against him.

I’m looking forward to Hutchinson and our D-line having a field day with him. The Packers almost beat them for fucks sake.
The Niners have a lot of offensive weapons though. It’s gonna be tough to stop ALL of them.

Fox showed clips from when Det and SF played in 1983. The announcer mistakenly said the running back was Barry Sanders. It was actually Billy Simms.

:frus: It’s not all the going for it on 4th. It’s all the dropped passes. :frus:

Great first half. TERRIBLE second.

I’m still rooting for Purdy in the SB tho.

Some of Goff's passes were off, too.

The 49ers making that diving catch after the ball bounced off of the Lions defender didn't help either.

Live by the 4th down attempts & die by them. It shouldn't have come down to those anyhow. Very disappointed - hurts worse than the Bears losing to Indianapolis because it kills the season for me. Either the Bills or the Lions make the Superbowl & I'm all in - now I'll check the score when it's over. What a fucking letdown.

Arrrghh. The more I think about it. Like, if it was a blowout from the get go. Or if it was a gripping back and forth shootout.
But no. It’s a complete collapse in the last 30 minutes. Fumbles. Off throws. And then letting that little wiener Purdy just keep running wherever he wants. SOMEBODY STOP HIM!

We’re losing Ben Johnson to Washington probably.

Look, I shouldn’t be bummed. We tripled our Playoff win total. And if that Ref hadn’t been a turkey in the Cowboys game, we would’ve had the 1 seed and…oh look a rabbit hole.

No. No, it was a good season. It was a great season. I’m just…I have to process it….

Yep, it was a good season. Dan Campbell has been a godsend to the Detroit Lions & their fans. Hopefully they file this all away & come out swinging again next year.

Joe Flacco was named NFL Comeback Player of the Year over Damar Hamlin. Which only goes to show that, in pro football, returning to play after standing at the brink of death is less impressive than leading the Cleveland #Browns to the playoffs.

Did Hamlin even play? I mean, I know they threw him at the beginning of the season to show everyone he was back, but I didn’t think he’d contributed all that much this season. I guess I wasn’t paying too much attention.

He only played a few games. He is a backup DB/special teams player. Half of the Bills defensive starters were injured this year, except for the guys ahead of Hamlin.

Flacco deserved the award. I just thought the quote was funny.

Stephansky(sp?) definitely deserved the Coach award. Cleveland’s entire season went off the rails several times and he still got them into the playoffs.
They went thru like 17 QBs or something.

Jeff Goldblum was in a SB commercial for apartments.com where he’s renting to some aliens.

Then he just appeared in a commercial for homes.com with that annoying Schitts Creek guy.

So which is it, Jeff? Do you want us to rent or to buy?
PICK A FUCKING LANE JEFF GOLDBLUM.

I think those 2 websites are run by the same company (homes.com & apartments.com or whatever it was).
