Suicide pact

Okay, not really, but possibly even worse.
We should swear that, if ever three or more of us are in the same place at the same time and have the capability, we will watch the Star Wars Holiday Special and record commentary, which we will then send to anyone we know who wants to see the Holiday Special (so as to numb the pain of watching it with the laughter generated by the commentary).
I think listening to two hours of commentary by loonies like us could actually make it less of a torture to sit through that mess.
[I originally proposed this to KH, JJ, mabs, and vyn a little more than a year ago. It is understood that beer and/or hard liquor would almost certainly have to be involved.]

I've already had the privilege of watching it with Mabs - another viewing couldn't hurt, could it? Hell, I might even build up a tolerance.....

It would be more tolerable to watch the Holiday Special as a group because you get to share the pain.

That definitely is a good idea. I think spreading the pain over a few bodies would almost make it bearable? Plus, on my copy, I've got tons of original Kenner toy commercials. WAMPA! WAMPA! WAMPA!

For reals, though, this should be on the mabucon itinerary. Get some good ol' Red Leaf in me and I'll probably be able to interpret the first twenty minutes or so for everyone.

That's entirely dependent upon traffic. In rush hour, it can take more than two hours to go 50 miles.

I have all those covered. I was born in NY, but lived in Maryland (twice), Virginia, California (twice), Colorado, Korea, and now in Nevada. My wife's family lived in Michigan. I really don't know where I'm from anymore.
