First, find one of those really lifelike baby dolls. Put it on a chair under somewhat dim lighting conditions. Get a videocamera and situate yourself so that someone on the floor, on the other side of the chair, cannot be seen by the camera. Have this person somehow make the baby move (clap hands, something realistic).

Play audio of a baby giggling.

Now have someone with big arms backhand the doll in such a way that it knocks it off the chair but doesn't send it flying. Make sure you can only see the arm. Dub in a loud smacking noise, followed by a dull thud. Then play audio of a baby screaming bloody murder.

Now post it on youtube and see what sort of comments you get.

The title should be "THIS S WAT HAPENS WHEN BABIES BREAK MY sTAR WARZ FIGURUES".

It'd be even better if it was so realistic that they launched an investigation. Of course, then, whichever of you does it had better have a "directors cut" where you walk over and reveal it's a doll.

I'd fucking laugh my ass off, because it would get reported on all these shitty news broadcasts. Just wait until Jon and Colbert come back after the strike, though.

On a similar note, this past week there was a media SHITSTORM about this "horrible brawl" at a hockey game between a bunch of 8 years olds, lots of dead-serious reporters voicning shock and outrage, noting that the police had confiscated a video tape of it and were considering charges etc etc... the video is now online at cbc and a few other sites (and was played on TV along with lengthy and super-apologetic, sheepish apologies/retractions)

it's basically a bunch of little kids in the typical WAY too big equipment bumping about for a few seconds- too bad they went apeshit on reporting and playing up the outrage SO much before actually seeing the fucking vid, cos "UGLY BRAWL" is nowhere NEAR what the tape shows- all the folks calling in to morning shows flipping out have hopefully learned a lesson about how much of assholes they all are

I watched it and thought I was the only sane person in the western hemisphere who didn't see what the fuss was. Then Don Cherry laced into the "left-wing media" during "Coach's Corner" on HNIC and blasted all the fucktards who made a big deal out of it. God bless you, Grapes.

Seriously, it was a bunch of little kids shoving each other. I'm not sure I saw one good punch landed or anything. To call it a "brawl" was a ridiculous grab for headlines, IMO.

Ha ha! I just watched it. THEY ARE 8 YEAR OLDS! Everybody is wearing enough padding to survive a car collision. I don't think any eight year old is strong enough to throw a debilitating punch in the first place. And another thing, it's HOCKEY. As a cultural phenomenon, fucking fist fights are expected. So all these kids grow up watching professional hockey players bust teeth out of each other, then people are shocked when the kids want to emulate their heroes?

It's like if there was a baseball game and people got upset if some 8 year old got in the ump's face and was yelling. Shyeah. That's what baseball players do.

The whole thing was sensationalism. I applaud Newsbot for not jumping on the bandwagon.

i can't see it as "left-wing" - it's simply the "sensationalist" media.

Yeah, the right-wing Canadian media was all over it too, right next to the left but with a different focus. The right-wing was more "get TOUGH over the outrage" tho
