NECA Harry Potter figures

Holy shit - I really don't know what else to say about these. I don't have any (haven't seen them anywhere up here), but apparently they're out for sale down there.

Anybody have any? Hermione actually looks a little sexy - and that's terrible. But in a good way.

picked up the first series of HP figs at spencer's gifts - they pretty much rock. while they lack many points of articulation, the sculpts are fantastic. i got harry, voldemort, dementor and the skull-faced death eater (the other one was cool, too, but the skull face was cooler.

unfortunately i flornbied harry's wand on removal, snapping it nearly in half so it hinged on a thin piece of plastic - exactly like ron weasely. kinda sucks. i contacted neca about replacing it, but if it's anything like my request to replace alt.grimlock's second left hand with a right one, i probably will have to try and glue the pieces back together. i snapped it completely apart while initially trying to glue it with elmers. will probably need to use rubber cement.

I dunno. Being a smaller company, NECA may be more willing to work with fans wanting replacement parts... if they have them, that is.

What kinda plastic is it Vyn??

I'd think that even rubber cement is a lousy choice to fix it with- maybe some crazy glue?? Even that shit that stick fake nails on chicks hands works good for that stuff

You could just give Harry's wand to Ron from the second wave. Then he's story accurate!

I got Harry from wave 2. I skipped Sirius for now and decided against getting Ron until later also. I wanted Hermione, but she was gone. I scoured all of SDCC looking for one and there was nary a mention of her. I did manage to score a Hagrid though.

So I looked online yesterday to see if anyone had her and amazon is fucking selling her for $45! WTF?!?

Incidentally, at SDCC, I saw the upcoming figures. Snape and Dumbledore look awesome! Definitely getting those two.

ha! yeah, i considered that, but now it's totally broken in two. i also forgot to mention here that NECA actually DID send me a replacement for harry's wand! it took a while for them to respond to my initial email, but once they did and got my address, they sent it right away! i was impressed. far cry from hasbro's customer service with my grimlock-with-two-left-hands...

that's gotta be an independent seller, not amazon themselves. lots of people don't realize that you're not necessarily buying FROM amazon, but THROUGH them for a lot of stuff. it's like a less obvious version of eBay.

yeah, they all look awesome so far. i'm really happy with the quality. we need some broomsticks and quidditch players, though.
