Over at CBR, they had an article about the DCNu 52
Litmus Test for the New Reader where they handed some of the new 52 first issues to completely new readers (they're supposed "target" audience). Anyway, one guy had this to say about the new
Hawk & Dove book.
When I asked new reader Gavin if he understood who the main characters were in "Hawk And Dove," he responded, "If you mean the new Dove was in a relationship with the old Dove and the old Dove died and Hawk has a serious issue with women, then yes." That's a pretty decent summation of Hawk and Dove, so at least we know that this issue actually does explain everything you need to know about the duo. Gavin is one of the only new readers who was actively confused by the artwork, however. "Are they all Asian, or is that just how they're drawn?" he wanted to know, adding, "Which is fine, but I can't tell."
BWA HAH HAH HA HA!!!

Hate to have two anti-Liefeld quotes on the same page, but this excerpt from a rant on cracked.com about the weirdness of women's clothes (and if you've ever been married, you know it's 100% true) made me laugh my fucking ass off.
From a section about false pockets, false buckles, etc:
The only possible conclusion is that Rob "Pouches" Liefeld moonlights as a women's clothing designer in his spare time.
I guess that most of the women I've known who read comics couldn't tell you who Liefeld is, much less insert an appropriate Liefeld crack into an article about something completely unrelated. The idea of it is just incredible.

Opie from Opie & Anthony.
Rick Perry looks like a retired superhero!
After thinking about it, I could see Rick Perry being a character on Venture Brothers.

"By Odin's Rainbow Pony!" is going to be a new Gay meme yardstick. And therefore QOTD.

The Fist down in the corner doesn't help much either.

Think of it this way. Norah Jones, Christina Ricci, and Kate Upton are in your bedroom eating each other out, scissor fucking, and craving a cock to finish them off. And I'm asking you why are you in the kitchen, making a sandwich?

Saw this on a Yahoo! article about Northstar's impending nuptials. Like so many Yahoo! posters, I couldn't tell if it was a relative of Snigtad Flornbi who'd learned to spell, or an incredible troll. But I laughed. I felt bad for it, but I laughed.
UP UP YOUR BUTT and AWAY!!!!

Just read the first 10-20 pages of this thread. A lot of this shit is still hilarious.

You all know how much I think Hannibal Tatu is dweeb. But his review of TF:More Than Meets The Eye 7 was spot on this week (he quoted the book as much as I did! And with completely different quotes!) and topped it off with
James Roberts has written a Transformers comic book so good that he should be slapped, then hugged.
True dat. He said MTMTE 7 was the best book this week, and he's right. Awesome.

That is just about the greatest thing I have ever read on the internet.

I saw that and thought it was amusing. I got too distracted by the discussion momentarily going off on a tangent bashing Bret Blevins that I forgot about this.
Seriously, a discussion about Liefeld, and you're going to disrespect the man who did Sleepwalker? Sure, that abstract style isn't everyone's cup of tea, but at least he has some idea of what he's doing.
