thanks, guys... yeah, she's a little chubb-o, but they said that they can loose up to 10% of their body-weight in the days after birth, so she's got plenty to spare if that happens!

i just love the way she looks at and studies my wife - it's amazing! she really knows who mommy is...

She is real intense looking- it's neat to see such a young human

Hopefully by this time tomorrow you'll all be under one roof and the fun can really begin.

She has a lot of sweet hair, too, so although there's no sideburns, she does have lots of potential vynsanity

Megatron looks an awful lot like one of my cats (Lulu). She's taken on sort of a "mommy cat" role around our baby. It's pretty cute. (I have to go eat a raw slab of beef now that I said that word, don't I?)

well, nicole got a room on the postpartum floor finally, just in time to find out that julia can't join her there yet, as the doctor was concerned about her heart rate when she sleeps - apparently it goes pretty low. they're gonna check her out tomorrow morning, but most likely it's nothing (the NICU night nurse taking care of her said it's common in big babies...) and all three of us can go home tomorrow!

yeah, mabs, she really is a studier... not one of those babies that's always distracted by stuff - she locks in on things and really checks them out. it's so cool!

megatron is only about 8lbs at the most at this point... she's a tiny cat. i've never seen a smaller full-grown (for the most part) cat. she's gonna be a perpetual kitten, which is cool.

both mommy and baby are home as of yesterday afternoon, and the cat doesn't know what to make of her. she's been pretty good, really, and we got some good sleep last night. she's going a good 4 hours between feedings, but she eats FOREVER... it's a good hour and a half before she's all fed, changed and asleep again. but it's all good.

ha! yeah, she hasn't met herself yet, but we think she discovered her hands - she was feeling the zipper on her onesie all day the other day, and when we put her down in her swing, she was looking at her hands feeling the zipper - definitely some connections made there.

and she smiles all the time. it's awesome.

and fuck you, i don't have anything to do with this avatar thing!
