Andreas Lilja of the Detroit Red Wings commenting on his concussion which probably occurred during his fight with Shea Weber in Nashville on Saturday.
"I remember the first two punches, but the rest I saw on television," said Lilja, who didn't practice Monday because of a headache. "I realized (then) I probably got a concussion. He got me good.

Like I said in the thread, it's pointing out the obvious, but this sentence is such an incredible seeming non-sequitur, I just had to give some credit for it.

i'd copy and paste the entire review, but this part is unequivocally the best nugget:
James Rocchi, Special to MSN Movies, MSN Entertainment wrote:And, to deal with the token objections of the film's defenders, I have an inner child; he's just not an inner idiot. And if how much money something made had any correlation to how good it actually is, doctors would recommend you get more cocaine instead of more leafy greens. And no, I can't shut my brain off and have fun, anymore than I could rip out my tongue and enjoy a meal, because my brain is where I feel fun.
the rest: http://movies.msn.com/movies/movie-crit ... he-fallen/

also, there's a major spoiler in there towards the end, but if you're like me you won't give a shit. here's a hint: when it happened in the ACTUAL transformers: the movie, you cried. i know you did.

Judging from the comic adaptation, it won't be especially powerful here, because it only lasts twenty minutes, tops.

Good quote.

This one is sad, but true:
The worst thing is that ticket-buying masses will shower stupid spectacle with success one more time because they don't want, need or expect anything better from big Hollywood.
I don't pay much attention to directors. When I read that article, I didn't know Michael Bay directed Pearl Harbor and Armageddon. Armageddon sucked and I had no intention of seeing Pearl Harbor. Tora! Tora! Tora! was a fine film about the same battle that didn't to cram in a love story.

I have to admit, I kinda liked Armageddon. It was stupid, but it was fun. It didn't require the total disconnecting of the brain to watch.

i think armageddon benefited from a great cast and was made at a time where there were still some reigns on bay's 'direction'. since then he's just been given more and more slack and the movies have increasingly suffered from that.

Slicker, in reference to The Beatles: Rock Band:
I feel like I'm slapping baby Jesus when I mess up on this game. It's pretty sac religious.
