There are racial casting choices that might matter. You can't cast an Asian as Black Panther, or white guy as Luke Cage. Might be a bit sketchy casting anyone but a white guy as a Nazi supervillain.

Everything else? Fuck you, racist. Unless we're talking about Whichever Wayans as Ripcord. That was just stupid casting, and not because of the dude's color.

I don't give half a shit about the Fantastic Four, and I think it's cool that they're doing multiracial casting, but why does everyone in the cast look like they're still in middle school?

The latest rumor is that Fox is looking to replace Trank as director, replace Kinberg's script, and recast. Which Fox is vigorously denying. But someone pointed out; every rumor which thus far was denied by Fox, eventually turned out to be true (e.g. Jordan's casting etc).

And let's not forget, Fox is on a timetable here, just like they were with DD. They waited so long, The FF film has to go into production by a certain date (in Aug or Sept) and it has to be released by a certain date (next April(?) or they lose the property back to Marvel.

What fucking director is gonna want to sign on to a big effects heavy film with only 180 days prep time? And with a hastily written script?

"The Greatest X-Men Movie Yet"?

Remind me to never trust a movie review in Maxim and just focus on the girly pics.

So the review embargo on Fant4stic has been pushed to the day before its release.

That's always a reassuring sign.
That usually means the movie is so unbelievably fricking amazing, that movie goers everywhere will shit themselves into a delerium of happiness and orgasm.

Oh wait, no. Usually it means the movie is garbage on a barge.

no, it just means they phoned another one in so they can continue to retain the rights for whatever reason. that reason is obviously not to make a lot of money, just some money, i guess.

The Fantastic 4 movies have always been at the bottom of my favorite comic movies. Their superpowers just seem...cliché to me. Plus the with the new comic movies that just came out they can't compare. Especially to the Avengers.
