Burlington has Coronation Starscream for $20. The sticker says "was $53". Amazon has it for $25, but it was $54. There were several on the shelf.

I saw a Gears figure the other day, and thought he’d go with the other updated figures I have(that are themselves probably pushing 15-20 years old at this point) but then I saw he was goddamn $30. Uh no thank you.

Also, a lot of the other TFs I see on shelves look like they have about three steps to change them from vehicle to robot. It just looks fucking lazy. They look like knockoffs even though they are actual licensed TFs.

Most of what's on shelves is the shit geared toward kids.

I'm hoping Ross gets Gears. I've only seen the WM exclusive version on the replica vintage card, but he's got a resculpted head to look like that stupid ass vintage toy. Given that my other recent Autobots are updated to mostly look like the cartoon/comic versions, he wouldn't fit. Fucking Hasbro STILL hasn't realized the last wave before a line or package change is fucking impossible to find, and they still fill those waves with high demand figures and never re-release them... but we keep getting that same fucking Bumblebee over and over.

Oh, and then I hope they retool Gears as Swerve, and release him in a widely available wave so tons hit Ross a year later. And they include My First Blaster™.

I saw that vintage carded Gears and Bumblebee at Walmart for $24. They look kind of cool, but I'm not interested in them.

Hasbro is finally TMing the distinctive transforming sound after all these years. Both the distinct ascending five-note combo, and the reverse combo when they revert to vehicle mode.
The mark consists of at 8 kHz fidelity, a pulse repeated five times, with each pulse lasting a roughly equal amount of time, whose pitch can be represented by the absolute value of an increasing sine wave. Each pulse changes by one semitone of ascending pitch. Each pulse has a choral reverb effect to emulate an electronic sound.
Fucking nerd talk.
