Year Zero? Wouldn't that just be Bruce Wayne being a moody guy studying martial arts?

With all of Grant Morrison's and the DCnU's shitty retcons, does that mean Alfred will be joining in, and maybe Thomas Jr. will interrupt them?

We'll find out the Riddler is the one who hired Joe Chill to kill Martha and Thomas. On the off chance the boy would grow up to be a vigilante with whom he could match wits. And the Joker was his roommate in college.
(we should do a convoluted DC History, like the EU Fraask epic)

Amanda Waller has to be involved. Just because that's a little similar to the retconned origin of Batman Beyond from JLU, which Waller masterminded.
Maybe Riddler had dozens or hundreds of parents killed, hoping at least one would become a vigilante.

From the AP article:
"We tried to preserve as much of Batman's history as we could and keep what we could of this history intact," Snyder said of the change. "It's 'The Zero Year,' the one that no one has told the story of before. We see how Bruce became the Batman, built the cave, faced off with his first super villain."
Yeah, no one's ever told that story.
Ever.
No one at all.
Especially not Frank Miller. Or Paul Dini. And definitely, definitely not Christopher Nolan. Hell, I'm so glad this is a new story and not one that's at risk of being run into the fucking ground already.

For a moment, I was worried Snyder was trolling here and stole my
A Batman Story idea.
I expand on the idea here.
Now I'm glad he didn't. They'd only ruin it.

Ha. Andy Diggle left Action Comics before he even got one issue out. And the same thing happened with Josh Fialkov on a couple of the Green Lantern books.
Who knew Rob Liefeld would be a trendsetter?

Because posting it in one Topic isn't enough.
Hah! DC, you have no shame. And you're officially out of ideas.

The shitty new costumes are making their way onto licensed merchandise. I saw a bunch of kids' t-shirts on clearance at Target with Flash, Bats, Supes, and Hal. Started to pick them up, then realized they all had unnecessary collars and armor seams. Maybe that's why they're on clearance, because no one recognizes these shitty costumes.
It might help if they were a tad consistent, going with either all old or all new on their stuff.

On that last comment, I'm noticing most new merchandise for kids is the new costumes. However, most licensed stuff for adults is the classic costumes. I guess they know kids will wear anything with a superhero on it, but adults won't wear a t-shirt if everyone on it looks like a fucktard.

DC canceled four more books. Demon Knights, Dial H for Hero, Threshold, and Legion of Super Heroes. I've never even heard of Threshold. Is that a Superhero? A Team?
DC announced they'd be replacing the books with four new Batman titles. ZINNNGG!!!

FOUR? Didn't they just fucking off his sidekick? How the fuck can they come up with four more?
"Debuting in September: Batman: The Batroom Files. Ever wonder what happens between the panels of your favorite Batman titles? Wonder no more! Thrill as Batman runs out of toilet paper! Chill as Batman must face the menace of overgrown toenails! And don't miss the romance between the toilet and Ace, the Bat-Hound!"

DC has so many Batman titles already, it's tough to tell.
