They were on an endcap at registers until this passed week at most Targets. They hit clearance and got shoved on the back. They are all repacks and repaints. I dont know why anyone wanted them to begin with. I wanted nothing to do with any of them. I saved my money and got 2 Tantive 4 BP's at 5 bucks each today.

I thought I'd bring the Wave 5 pic over here. I'm only going to get Hermi Odle and C-3P0. Hermi's face looks ok, but his clothes are too green and baggy. C-3P0's color seems a bit off. Hopefully these aren't pictures of the final product.

I really like Yoda on the Kybuck. The beast itself sells me on the package - I'm happy it's not in the animated style. Hermi's a no-brainer - makes me wonder what the actual colour of the costume was though... it IS very green.

This is a huge wave. I think there are 9 figures not previously released coming in this bunch.

Rogue II wrote:They are probably all re-releases, so I don't know how people can get excited about them. At least with the majority of battlepacks, it is one main character with some army builders.
It's the repainted clones that people can't get enough of. I'm going to wind up with 2 of these sets, but only because Pegger bought a lot of them and wound up with extras. I may wind up trading them off.

Yeah, most of that bottom row...Is that some other toy line ripping off Star Wars? Because those are not Star Wars!

Way to spend the 2-4 Jim, spamming vynsane, way to go (you better at least be half in the bag if this is your big plan ;))

I agree with what Josh said there, all's I could think is that someone bought a whole bunch of molds and decided "oh, it might be from 'pirates of the darkwater', but if we put the SW logo on it KA-CHING!!"

And yes, that Hermi Odle is ridiculous lookin. As I posted at the other site (and was promptly totally ignored- like 3 posts later someone basically quoted my fuckin post as some sort of "fresh perspective" without even noticing I'd posted the EXACT SAME THING only better already) most of them (Hermi Odle baing maybe the worst) look like rejected "comic book" versions. I saw those for the first time the other day and was stunned at how fucking stupid-looking they are- that stormie that looks all frozen or whatever SUCKS

Again, glad I don't really "collect" these anymore. Tho I prolly will get that stupid Hermi Odle, but "concept luke" and "pre-anyone even cares" GG can hang. Good thing there's fanboys out there who want to re-create all their fave moments that NEVER FUCKING HAPPENED or I doubt even a single one of that stupid "GG" fig would sell
Vince, NO!!!!!

Guess how many of these I'll spend money on?

I like the 3PO, but its the same damn thing as the other two or three I have. A funky eye isn't worth $6. Hermi Odle is alright, but I have a hunch he's gonna see the same scenario Ephant Mon saw, where he will be "costly to produce" and hang heavy on the pegs, making him a pricey commodity on the secondary market.

I refuse to buy any more clones or stormies because I feel like we're being whored. It was cool at first, but after the "shadowtrooper" thing, I feel like I'm being mocked.

So now it seems to me like Hasbro has a very short list of actual characters from the trilogy that are still waiting to be produced and since they have another 8 years on the license, they are carefully parceling these characters out at the rate of one every other wave, or perhaps even one a year. Saving the ones people REALLY want, like Yarna, until the very end. And in the mean time they are desparate to fill up the rest of the waves with sclock and variations, hoping to cling to the few remaining souls who arent fed up with their crap yet. The Completists.

Well, if you needed more reason to hate Hasbro, it looks like the Concept Yoda and Obi-Wan will be SDCC exclusives. And a properly-scaled Grievous is on the way, but also as an exclusive.

Meanwhile, people complain and still happily snatch up $12 Bossks that add only an ankle joint, or Ceremonial Luke Skywalkers who aren't even as good as the one from 1997.

Yeah, Hasbro ain't going to give us what we want, because--as a community--we're too fucking stupid to stop buying the horseshit that's cheaper to produce.

Thank God none of those exclusive figures are things I would have bought in the first place. Anyone else get the feeling that they are trying to kill the line or fuck their consumers senseless while trying?

Out of all the figures on all of the new figure lists I've seen in the last day or so, nothing even gets me remotely excited. Not even torture rack Han. Its a badass fig, but its about two years overdue if they wanted my attention.
