I humbly accept my punishment, but let me explain: Fuck Pedro Martinez. That cocksucker has been pretty much useless this year, but since I can't drop him I might as well play him. Granted, the Tigers staff has been less than stellar the past month, but Pedro screws the pooch every time he takes the mound anymore.

And for the record, Skawty, you didn't sweep me in pitching. I had more wins. :yeaha:

Damn, you got me. But, in my defense, I'm used to looking at the top line. A BSLOS:

Colors of the world
Spice up your life
Every boy and every girl
Spice up your life
People of the world
Spice up your life
Aaahh!!!

Slam it to the left
If you're having a good time
Shake it to the right
If you know that you feel fine
Chicas to the front
Uh Uh go round
Slam it to the left
If you're having a good time
Shake it to the right
If you know that you feel fine
Chicas to the front

Roger Clemens gets $28,000,022 for one year? That's around $4.6 mil per month. How do you fit that much cash in your wallet?

Because he's a ginormous, classless fucking fatass and will eat the money up before it can even reach his wallet.

Lou Gehrig set the benchmark for Yankee stadium announcements. Clemens made a joke out of the PA system. He should be shot for that.

Which is also $150,000 a day. You could head to some sleepy midwestern town and spend a month buying up a shit load of real estate, and then live off the rental dividends. Fuck by the end of the year you could OWN all of Kansas.

Slight error on my part. His salary is pro-rated, so he's only getting $26 million. According to the yahoo news article, they figure he will start 22 games, which would be $1.18 million per game. If he averages 100 pitches per game, that would be $11,800 per pitch.

We're in the wrong line of work.

Perhaps, but at least we aren't Roger Clemens.

Fat fuck.

That's awful. There is NO WAY, even in today's inflated baseball salary market, that Roger Clemens can be worth that much money. Not even close. They could have bought out fucking Johan Santana's contract for that much, I'm quite sure.

Yes, it is too much money. The guy can pitch and think what knowledge he can pass on to the young ones like Hughes, Rasner and Karstens. E is solidifying the rotation, but way too much money. But for a hired gun, someone was going to pay him the shit load, glad it was George though and not Boston.

Curt Schilling is a jackass, but he was probably right about Barry Bonds.
"I mean, he admitted that he used steroids," Schilling said on the show. "I mean, there's no gray area. He admitted to cheating on his wife, cheating on his taxes and cheating on the game, so I think the reaction around the league, the game, being what it is, in the case of what people think. Hank Aaron not being there. The commissioner (Bud Selig) trying to figure out where to be. It's sad.

"And I don't care that he's black, or green, or purple, or yellow, or whatever. It's unfortunate," he said. "There's good people and bad people. It's unfortunate that it's happening the way it's happening,"
And that is why I don't watch baseball anymore. It has about as much integrity as pro wrestling.

I do have to admit. Field of Dreams was on TV last week, and the James Earl Jones' speach almost made me want to watch baseball again. When I flipped over to ESPNews and saw the headline at the bottom of the screen about Barry Bonds getting closer to the HR record...I remembered why I quit watching. Of course, the major side effect is that my fantasy baseball team blows.

I am 300% over Barr-oid Bonds and his HR record. I'm even more sick of everyone getting a raging hard-on whenever he pops up. I'm most sick of ESPN for MAKING this a race issue. Note to ESPN: Hank Aaron was black. I wasn't sure you knew this, because you are always talking about how white people are trying to keep Barry from breaking the record. Did honkies get Hank Aaron in the last racial draft and I missed it?

Everything is a race issue now.
