We interrupt this topic to discuss the history of my life.
Lessee, I was 24 and her mom was 18 when she had our first little one.
Five years later, our son came along.
We broke up.
She met a decent guy who was five(ish) years younger than her and they have two more little ones of their own.
So(doing the math in my head) I'm 39, mom is 33, new hubby is 28ish.
Meanwhile, my kids are 15 and 10.
We now resume the topic, already in progress.

Okay, break it down that way, and it doesn't have the same vibe.

I'm guesstimating his age. It's not up there on my priority list to know his birthday.

that's like starting out the story of my in-laws and my wife's aunt and uncle by saying "two brothers met two cousins"... as soon as someone mentions the word cousins people start freaking out, but laying it out as "one guy met a girl, then she introduced her cousin to the guy's brother" sounds a lot better.

Every time I go over to Milla's place, she refuses to put something on before she answers the door.

I was born in 78 and I have no memory of not having Star Wars in my life.
My fandom started unusually - with a neighborhood kid's lost Chewbacca toy, which was saved from the lawnmower by mom. I became obsessed with that Chewie and soon after my parents started buying me other Star Wars toys, which I also became obsessed with. Eventually I saw one of the movies (not sure if it was A New hope or Empire), but it started with the toys and zero knowledge of the movies.

Ohmigosh boobies!!!
I think the genration will be Star Wars 7 and the Han Solo movie and the Yoda movie. That will be the next genration Star Wars. I think Darth Vader will come back and be Spanish and not be that little kid and there will be time travel and Luke Skywalker and young Obi-Wan will team up and fight ninja robots with lightsabers and there will be an Ewok Jedi because that will be funny ha ha!

This is me, too. Toy ads during Saturday morning cartoons coupled with neighborhood kids all fired up about SW = rabid desire for cheap toys, which was only fueled by reading the movie picture book & novel, then finally seeing the movie. I was plenty hooked way before I saw the movie.
