I remember about a week after the attacks, a plane flew like three feet over our house. It scared the absolute fuck out of me and my sister, especially since there had been few planes for a while. I also remember wanting to beat the shit out of bin Laden, and actually supported the president (I clearly really wasn't up on much). That sentiment eventually waned and ever since the war in Iraq (I remember having a bad feeling about it before we went in, cheesy as that sounds), and then everything just went in the shitter after that.
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

I think even Michael Moore and Keith Olbermann supported him for a little while.

It was really freaky flying back into the San Diego airport that December, since the airport is near downtown and the flight paths go closer to the buildings than in any other city I've flown into.

I clearly remember two main things:
Seeing how low the planes were flying so close to the Pentagon and thinking "What if...?"
There was a construction project in progress that to move the bus terminal further away from the building...in case of a terrorist attack.

I went with my wife (then girlfriend) and one of her friends. Her friend's mom lived in Arlington and worked at the Pentagon. She was in the opposite side of the building when the plane hit.
After the attacks, that flight pattern was changed. But while I was there, they opened it back up. I was in the center courtyard with a bunch of people. When the first plane flew over, everyone got really quiet.
