How I realized I was over Star Wars completely

movies are cool. here is a place to talk about how cool they are. or maybe how much they suck, sometimes. like that fucking piece of shit 'mac and me'. worst fucking movie ever, a two-hour ad for fucking coca-cola.

I really can’t finish the PT when I attempt rewatches. It’s not that I think they’re bad, I just lose interest watching them. They are objectively unsatisfying films.

AOTC still has the fucking vanishing pear and Obi-Wan teleporting into the factory, and that level of CG dumbfuckery is unforgivable from the top effects studio.

Never mind Threepio's inappropriate humor and the stunted love dialogue.

I love AOTC solely for Ewan's time to shine as Obi-Wan. everything else i just sit through in order to get to the next Obi-Wan scene. Hello there!

Ewan

Christopher Lee

The first time a guy in Mandalorian did shit

That's the three saving graces of AOTC.

For years, I have been able to watch TPM and the first half of AOTC, but not the 2nd half of AOTC or ROTS. Ewen McGregor did what he could to save the movies, but the CGI and the Anakin/Padme scenes ruined them for me.

Last weekend, I was flipping through the channels for something to have on as background noise. The sequel trilogy movies were on but I have no interest in watching them again. I just didn't like the story.

It occurs to me that Star Wars is in almost the exact place it was 25-30 years ago.

There's roughly the same amount of material being released, and it's roughly the same percent awesome and utter shit as it was. Difference is, a much higher percentage of the material is onscreen, so more people see it and recognize some of it ain't the best. No one (in the grand scheme of things) read crap like The Crystal Star or Galaxy of Fear to know how terrible they were.

Anyone dropping $130 on the new Star Wars game? I mean, you could buy the basic bitch version for like, what, $80-90, but then you don’t get to play the 90% of the game behind paywalls.

I wish SW fans would collectively tell them to shove it up their ass, but you know they won’t. Setting a terrible precedent.

Is that Star Wars Outlaws? I don't think I'd play it on PC, and I'm thinking about getting a PS5. Lots of games come in a $70 and a $100. If I get a PS5, I wouldn't buy Outlaws right away. I'd wait for the reviews and eventual price drop.

I understand the Jabba mission is only on the mack daddy edition.

Y'know, the only reason anyone is interested in the game.

I won't. Not for that price, and also because I can't play any other video games beside world of warcraft, no matter how hard I try.

One of the local museums has an IMAX screen, and it’s one of those super giant curved versions that takes up your entire field of vision.
They were doing a marathon of the OT today. Sadly I was running around to all the LCS and couldn’t be in two places at once. Also, I’m not sure I could sit thru all three movies in one go at my age.
But watching A New Hope on that gigantic screen would’ve been pretty sweet. Maybe next year, when FCBD is on Saturday, and SW Day is on Sunday.

There were some theaters around the country showing all 9 movies in a marathon. That's over 20 hours. Basic cable has been playing the films. They started with Rogue One and Solo last night. Today was OT and Episodes 7-9.

I had a random thought while watching ESB. Vader keeps harping on Kenobi helping Luke, so does that mean Palpatine told him Yoda is dead?

The trailer for the Acolyte reminds me of the Knights of the Old Republic game.
