Trailer gave me the heebies & the jeebies. Joaquin Phoenix was a good choice.

This looks good. Definitely an Elseworlds, but good.

I think I'm the only person that thought it looks awful.

What if we decided this was the ledger joker origin? Would that force nolan to make another trilogy with jgl as the new bat?

After the recent success Bohemian Rhapsody, Rocket Man, and the Motley Crue Netflix movie, do you think there will be someone that goes to see the Joker thinking it is the story of Steve Miller?

If only - that might get me slightly interested in seeing it.

Getting rave reviews up here at the Toronto International Film Festival. In the past that has meant the movie will get Oscar attention. We'll see.

I've got to admit, I was intrigued before the reviews started rolling in, and now even moreso. It's a weird idea, but sounds like it could be a great Elseworlds movie.

Went to Joker today. Fantastic acting from Phoenix and a haunting score complements his performance brilliantly.
I laughed a little too loud at the dumb ‘bat pole’ Easter egg.
It’s not a movie that demands repeated viewings; it’s very bleak, but I’ll probably do a rewatch a year or two down the road.

A modern Clockwork Orange. I felt uncomfortable the entire time & don't think I'll ever really be motivated to watch it again.

Just saw something about the studio choosing the actress to play Catwoman in the new Batman movie. And another actor gets to add Batman/Bruce Wayne to his resume. Is DC just trying to make sure Batman keeps the lead over Spiderman for the most origin movies?

Speaking of Catwoman...
Annette Bening was supposed to be Catwoman in Batman Returns. She had to drop out because she was pregnant and they replaced her with Michelle Pfeiffer at the last minute. I watched the first half of Batman Returns not that long ago and I'm having trouble imagining Annette Bening in it.

Younger Bening was fairly smokin’. I saw in her The Grifters a few months back as I was flipping channels. I was like, damn.

I could totally see her in the Catwoman costume. I'm just not sure she could say "meow" with the same impact that Michelle Pfeiffer. Weird thing is, they are the same exact age.
