Football

most tv sucks these days, but there are some shining examples of good writing, acting, camera work, etc... we call those Deadwood and Arrested Development. Family Guy sucks ass, though...

Sundays are a marathon. Usually I take a nap somewhere. Didn’t yesterday. After Detroit won, my GF asked me why I wasn’t more excited. It’s because I was fucking exhausted from watching football and analysis shows all damn day.

Is AB even playing tonight? I haven’t kept up with the latest episodes of As The Steel Turns.

I haven't heard anything about AB not playing. The media made a big deal about him missing a practice early this week.

Listening to sports radio today, it is pretty amazing how people were calling Detroit's new coach a bust last week and lord and savior today.

During last night's game, Minnesota's long snapper got his pinky finger stuck in someone's facemask and it ripped the tip off. He came out of the game, they sewed it back on, and he made it back into the game. That's pretty bad ass.

Those all gray uniforms the Lions wore today just don't look quite right.

Apparently the Lions are the team that losing teams beat so they can feel better about themselves and get some confidence.

You are only saying that because that was the last time the Lions had a good running back.

I really remember #54 Chris Spielman running back an interception or fumble return that gave the Lions an unlikely Thanksgiving win over either Green Bay or Minnesota when I was in university. I wanted that jersey worse than anything. Never wound up getting one. :(

Obviously I’m glad he left 13 points off the board with his missed FGs, but damn I was feeling bad for GB kicker Mason Crosby having a completely shitty day yesterday. That hurt to watch. Poor guy.

Lions are right back in the thick of it! We are only half a game back from being tied for last place in our division! Instead of just being in last place in our division....wait....
But wait! We are the only team in our division without a division loss! Yasssss!!

(It’s gonna be a long fucking season...)

I'm sure you can still get one. Vintage throwbacks!

Bears let one get away. Can anyone beat the Rams?

That Bears game was great. Back and forth, back and forth.
Who knew Brock Osweiler had it in him?

I predict the Rams will have someone (Goff, Gurley, etc) get injured and severely hamper their season.

Cooper Kupp has left the game last week with a concussion, came back this week, and left the game with a leg injury. Brandin Cooks also got hurt last week and played this week.

Hopefully Goff stays healthy since he is on 3 of my fantasy teams.

As far as the NFC North goes, the ‘phins win was a pleasant surprise considering how dominant the Bears looked the previous week. Imagine if that had ended in a tie also.
I guess it was too much to hope the Cards could keep up with Minnesota.

And I wouldn’t expect even Jimmy G to be able to beat Rodgers at home, so I have zero confidence in Beathard to make any kind of impact.
