BAF pieces - ebay?

Post by Diabolical »

So I have some random BAF pieces I have no use for.

Rather than having them take up space I've been considering trying to toss them up on ebay.
Anyone ever tried selling them on ebay?

It has gotten so expensive on ebay with them factoring in their own shipping - I would consider Rebelscum forums - no charge to join that sight & access a huge nerd market.

I just browsed RS and it looked like only SW related stuff.

What's up with ebay and shipping? I haven't used ebay in ages.

BAF... I assumed you meant the droid parts from the old SW figures a few years ago.

With ebay now, If you buy a $5 comic, they don't let you figure out shipping with the buyer. They just ad 24.50 or some fucking obscene amount on their own (and take a generous cut for themselves), when in the old days you would tell the seller your preferences & they would get you a quote before you sent money.

Fuck them & their money grubbing shit, it has made purchasing ANYTHING on there way too expensive.

Well, I'm giving it a shot.
I tossed up a few to test the waters:
Apocalypse - head/torso
Apocalypse - left leg
Galactus - head
Galactus - lower torso

Others I'll put up later:
Nemesis - left arm
Giant Man - head/torso
Imperiex - right leg
Grodd - head/torso

I know I have a few more...somewhere. A couple of Mandroid pieces from Winter Soldier Captain America and Black Widow and a piece or two of Ultron (Avengers: A of U)at the very least.

Good luck! Not having to deal with cross border shipping will likely help. It's when I have to pay for someone to ship from the US that ebay gets nasty.

Made $40 already.

Apocalypse leg and Galactus torso for $10 each.
I also sold a Spider-Gwen for $20. I thought she might be a tough one to find (based on internet fandom) so I picked it up. At least I made my money back.

I used ebay's price estimator, which said these pieces had a history of selling for like $20 each. I couldn't see them realistically selling for that much, so I added the "or best offer" option. I took the first offers I got. $10 is better than sitting in a box.
I only asked $25 for Spider-Gwen, and the $20 offer wasn't losing me any money.

Just sold a Giant Man head/torso from the Wal-Mart exclusive Kitty Pryde for $15.00

I also listed:
Nemesis left arm (Wal-Mart exclusive Bradstreet-style Punisher)
Gorilla Grodd head/torso (Harley Quinn)
Imperiex left leg (Wal-Mart exclusive Power Girl)

I have 2 watchers on my Galactus head and Apocalypse head/torso, which are listed at $20 each, but if they offer $10-15 I'll bite.

Complete Giant Man figures are listed around $200.00.

I had 2 offers for $10 each, which I would have accepted, but thankfully this guy bought it at $15 before I could.
