DC on tv: The Flash, Arrow, etc.
DC has created their own wonderful tv universe and if you're not watching at least Arrow and The Flash, fuck you.
Both shows are great, but The Flash is fucking phenomenal. It is a comic book come to life every week - they've done Grodd and King Shark - on tv(!) - and they were pretty damn good!
I haven't seen much of the recent spin off, Legends of Tomorrow (at least not yet) and I've only seen the pilot for Supergirl (which is semi-related as The Flash is going to show up soon), but both of those were pretty good.
Hell, even the now cancelled Constantine is part of this universe, since he showed up on Arrow not too long ago.

I haven't dipped my toe into it at all - it just seems overwhelming to me. So many shows, let alone episodes - and I have no idea who more than half the fucking people are ><
If you say Flash is good, I'll try an episode or two - but if it's stinky I'll be getting Hayden to give you a wedgie.

I haven't watched it, but my daughter's favorite TV show right now is Supergirl. Is that part of the same universe?

Jim - it all stats with Arrow. They set up Barry Allen in season 2 for Flash the following year. But I really don't think it's necessary to watch Arrow first. You might not understand a bit of the history when they do crossover.
Ran - kind of, I think. In season 2 Flash gets into some multiverse stuff and on a recent trip to Earth 2, we got a glimpse of Supergirl. Flash is guest-starring on Supergirl soon, so if they're not in the same universe, then Flash probably travels to another Earth.

Re: DC on tv: The Flash, Arrow, etc.
So I went to Hulu yesterday, intent on watching the Flash season 3 premiere, only to discover none of the CW shows are on Hulu anymore. After a brief Internet search, I discovered the contract with Hulu dissolved in the spring. Luckily there's a free CW app on my XBoxOne which streams everything, including the new episodes of Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, and LoT.
But at some point, having like thirty streaming apps for every different fucking channel is gonna be bullshit. I've already got Netflix and Hulu.
I don't bother with cable and/or satellite which saves me like $80 a month, but...wait, where was I going with this rant?
Hmm. Anyway, I watched Flash last night.

In a 45 minute guest starring role, the CW did a better Superman than Warner Bros has been trying to do since 2013.

Who was it who said that Megan Fox is a pornstar who doesn't actually do any porn.
Anyway, the new CW shows are fantastic this season. Agreed that Superman guest starring on Supergirl was great. And Arrow is doubling down on its heroes. Ragman! Vigilante! Wild Dog!!
As a native of the Quad Cities, I find it hilarious that our own super hero has made it to the small screen. Never ever could I imagine I'd see a live action Wild Dog one day, and now here he is every week.
Now that Superman is a thing, they should just go all out and give us a Batman TV series. Gotham is meh. It's like having a Batman show, but with a huge vacuum that everyone ignores.

I would be remiss if I didn't add Lucifer to this discussion. It's its own continuity, but it's surprisingly fun. Tom Ellis is a lot of fun as the charismatic, amoral titular character.
It boils down to a buddy cop/procedural every week, but one the cops happens to be the lord of Hell on vacation from his duties, and the other is a former raunchy teen comedy actress who showed her tits now trying to be taken seriously as a homocide detective.
It's all based on the Vertigo characters Neil Gaiman created in Sandman, and spun out into their own comic.

That's based on a comic?
Sweet Jesus, it looks unwatchable.

Playing catch up on last season's Arrowverse now that they are all on Netflix already.
About 1/3 of the way through Arrow, Flash, and Supergirl.
Just finished the big Invasion crossover episodes.
Arrow has taken a big step back into greatness after last season's underwhelming storyline and villain.
Flash is still great. They did their own tv version of Flashpoint!
Supergirl is consistently damn fun also. I'm honestly surprised to consistently see Martian Manhunter on a tv show.

Didn’t know where else to post this, but former Smallville actress Allison Mack was arrested on sex trafficking charges and could be in prison for 15 years.
WTF?
WTF?

I've only seen pictures of the Batwoman show, but, the woman that cut my hair at Greatclips this weekend looked like a Latina version of Ruby Rose.

Holy crap! I need to find the Legends of the Superheroes, even if it is the superhero equivalent of the Star Wars Holiday Special. It came out in 1979, so I would have been 5 or 6 when it aired. I don't remember ever hearing about it. I wonder why they didn't get Linda Carter and Christopher Reeves to be in it.

I know I watched that when it aired, but I don’t remember a single thing about it.
