Will the new economic stimulation package include discounts on ShamWow? It will be good for the environment, too because everyone in the nation dumps $20 worth of paper towels in landfills every month.
While you are at it, can you pass a law against ShamWow impersonators?

Re: Q and A with The President
To my knowledge, this is the only topic of it's kind and I believe the webmaster prefers the term topic to the term thread, but you'll have to get the specifics from him. Thanks for the question!
While I can't get into the specifics of my long term goals concerning a new economic stimulus package, I can tell you I am a huge proponent of the free market system and won't discourage healthy competition which only benefits consumers.
Thanks for the questions and the oppurtunity to get to know you all a bit better.
Peace.

I'm thinking of going through a copy of "Change We Can Believe In" and marking which of your campaign promises you've kept so far, which ones you've broken, and which are unaddressed. Even allowing that you can't do everything in a year, I'll wager less than 5% have been kept, about 10-25% have been broken, and the rest you just couldn't bother with. Care to disprove me?

Are you infering that a politician didn't follow up on campaign promises? I find that hard to believe.

Re: Q and A with The President
Yeah, but a track record of about 5%, when his party totally dominates Congress? That's a new low.

Good point. I didn't think about Congress.

Re: Q and A with The President
On my way into work today I was flipping through the radio stations. I stopped at ESPN and Colin Cowherd was on. Usually I think the guy is a douchebag, but occasionally he has a good point. I missed the begining of his show, but I think he was talking about sports media vs. political media stemming from the Florida quaterback that made a commercial about anti-gay rights. He was blabbering on about how he voted for Regan, Bush, Clinton, and Obama and that he was financially conservative, but socially liberal. He thinks most people in the political media are loons with objectives. He thinks the media and the Liberals built Obama up so much, it turned him into a philosophy. He thinks Obama was doomed to fail due to everyone's expectations. Cowherd said Obama is just a regular dude with kids, who likes reading Sports Illustrated, and plays basketball. He may have a point. A lot of people deemed Obama some sort of savior.

Re: Q and A with The President
Speaking of gay rights, with a Democratic supermajority and enough bipartisan support, the administration could've repealed Don't Ask Don't Tell in early February 2009, without missing a beat on other issues. As it is, gay rights activists are still hounding him, saying, "When you gonna keep your promise?" and he keeps putting it off. I know there are more important issues, but some of the smaller ones don't really take any time at all.

Re: Q and A with The President
Sorry I haven't responded to your questions in awhile. I've been busy taking Osama bin Laden off the map, ending the wars that Bush started, and attempting to untie the Gordon knot of gridlock the Republicans have got this country tied up in. So I've been fairly busy.
As to your question about the 'Don't Ask Don't Tell' policy. I'll admit it took awhile to get that one taken care of. But I preferred to get it done right than get it done quickly. I know many people were impatient about that one. I hope you are pleased with the results. And also my new policy to take gay rights international.
Once again, I thank you for your time and support.
Peace out, skillets.
