In 1977, Polanski, then aged 44, became embroiled in a scandal involving 13-year-old Samantha Geimer (then known as Samantha Gailey). It ultimately led to Polanski's guilty plea to the charge of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor.[11]
According to Geimer, Polanski asked Geimer's mother if he could photograph the girl for the French edition of Vogue, which Polanski had been invited to guest-edit. Her mother allowed a private photo shoot. According to Geimer in a 2003 interview, "Everything was going fine; then he asked me to change, well, in front of him." She added, "It didn't feel right, and I didn't want to go back to the second shoot."
Geimer later agreed to a second session, which took place on March 10, 1977 at the Mulholland area home of actor Jack Nicholson in Los Angeles. "We did photos with me drinking champagne," Geimer says. "Toward the end it got a little scary, and I realised he had other intentions and I knew I was not where I should be. I just didn't quite know how to get myself out of there." Geimer alleged that Polanski sexually assaulted her after giving her a combination of champagne and quaaludes.[12] In the 2003 interview, Geimer says she resisted. "I said no several times, and then, well, gave up on that," she says.[13]
...
In a 2003 interview,[19] Samantha Geimer said, "Straight up, what he did to me was wrong. But I wish he would return to America so the whole ordeal can be put to rest for both of us." Furthermore, "I'm sure if he could go back, he wouldn't do it again. He made a terrible mistake but he's paid for it".
In 2008, Geimer stated in an interview that she wishes Polanski would be forgiven, “I think he's sorry, I think he knows it was wrong. I don't think he's a danger to society. I don't think he needs to be locked up forever and no one has ever come out ever - besides me - and accused him of anything. It was 30 years ago now. It's an unpleasant memory ... (but) I can live with it."[20]
Vanity Fair libel case
In 2004, Polanski sued Vanity Fair magazine in London for libel.
...
According to the British tabloid The Daily Mirror, Samantha Geimer commented, "Surely a man like this hasn't got a reputation to tarnish?"[24]
Sick bastard. I also get the impression from her comments that she doesn't really exactly forgive him, but no longer wants to have celebrity status for being "the little girl Roman Polanski fucked."
His version of MacBeth sucked ass, too, and it's tough to make MacBeth anything but awesomeness personified.

iF IT MAKES YOU GUYS FEEL BETTER, fRANCE WON'T EXTRADITE HIM TO FACE HIS SENTENCE IN THE us, BUT THEY CAN'T PROTECT HIM FROM MY BIG, BLACK DICK. aND, SINCE HE'S A PEDOPHILE, i TELL HIM THAT i HAVE THIS FETISH THAT INVOLVES PUTTING ON A CONDOM, THEN ROLLING IT IN SAND AND CRUSHED GLASS RIGHT BEFORE i CORNHOLE HIM. i'M NOT REALLY INTO IT, ACTUALLY, EVEN THOUGH THE PROFUSE BLEEDING DOES OFFER A BIT MORE LUBRICATION.
Look up Gary Glitter in the news. They don't fuck around when it comes to demonizing pedophiles in Britain. (Kind of makes me want to go to Britain and blast "Rock & Roll Part 2" as loud as I can, though.)

I'd lol. But it would have to be done in a Batman costume.
Well, the asshole is 75 years old now. I could jump out of the bushes in a Batman costume and yell "BOOGAH BOOGAH!" and hopefully he'd keel over from a heart attack. Which is better than he deserves.
Also, France not extraditing him? Put one more in the "FRANCE=ASSHOLES" column.
I just thought of an idea for a new thread about a serious flaw in French culture that babes like Ms Casta and the introduction of the French maid costume do not make up for, but I'll post it under Music.

Okay, this seems like as good a place to put this, even though the original topic got derailed.
Y'know what gets me? People who hate people who don't agree with them politically. Those folks who honestly believe that the other party, and by extension every member of it, is truly evil and trying to destroy the country. It goes both ways.
For instance, I know a guy who's quite intelligent, actually worked in some capacity for the Bush administration. He starts out today by posting an article on his blog about the capture of the Times Square terror suspect. And discussing with several of his friends about how it's amazing that the attorney general would admit this was a terrorist act, since liberals don't believe terrorism exists. So, I guess everyone who doesn't share his voting record just slept for an entire day in 2001 and never turned on a TV since?
Like I said, man, disagree with whomever you want. Argue your position. But there's a point where you're just demonizing fellow Americans in a way that makes no damned sense. C'mon. You can hate everything Barack Obama stands for, but when you ignore mountains of evidence that he was born in Hawaii, you're just grasping at straws. (Likewise, Bush didn't order the military to destroy the World Trade Center. Cheney and Rumsfeld might've helped out Hussein back in the day, but they did it to keep Khomenei in check and didn't know what he'd be in a decade or so.)
When you start wishing death on anyone whose last name is not "Liefeld," you've crossed a line. Sit down, and chill out. Both parties are assholes. And there are a lot of people on both sides making a lot of money (and cementing their personal power) by exploiting fears of the other party. With a couple of exceptions on the individual level, no one in elected office is anti-American. We don't live in a Marvel comic.
