Serious important question
Okay the Rockin Deece: Deuce footage has been stagnant on my PC for months due to the lack of a proper idea for the tune. I ask one and all for suggestions as to what might be the "proper" music for such an ouevre- remember I prefer Metal like Motorhead, Gamma Ray, Manowar etc but am open to any and all suggestions- please help me out on this- it has to be fast-paced with no real different "sections" and ideally under 3:30 in duration
Thanks in advance y'all!! I know this next one will be the SHIT thanks to the participation of so many folks- JJ is a fucking natural

Re: Serious important question
We should have saved our AIM brainstoming session from last time. I know we talked about Megadeath. Judas Priest was off the list, right? Same for Dio/Sabbath?
I never acquired any Raven, but I did get some Gamma Ray. There were some Gamma Ray songs with fitting titles, but they are too long. I'll have to listen to the shorter ones tonight. I need more Motorhead, too.
From the tunes I have, Manowar doesn't have many songs under 3:30. In fact, the only ones I have that are that short are Outlaw, William's Tale, The Crown and the Ring, Sting of the Bumblebee, and My Spirit lives on.

Re: Serious important question
Extreme might work. Maybe some Queen--I assume you know the song "Sheer Heart Attack" judging from the Rockin' Deuce background. You could even work in scenes of the Deuces operating on Dengar.

Re: Serious important question
IF I were to use MANOWAR, it would likely be the song "warlord" or "(the) power" so maybe check those out
Queen is something I have considered- the tune I would MOST like to use would be Brighton Rock but it is a tad too long and the middle bit is kinda all over the place. I was hoping to get away from MOTORHEAD for this one since they truly have had a solid run in my stupid videos. Sheer Heart Attack is probably the only song ?I would use- as you may have noticed I like to use tunes that are A) fucking awesome and B) unfamiliar to as many folks as possible
Keep thinking and suggest away (I was thinking of going nuts and using something like Lonnie Johnson or Lightfoot or something but I am saving that for the next one
)
Thanks for the input thus far, this WILL happen soon at this rate

Re: Serious important question
Does anything from early Scorpions or Def Leppard fit the bill? "Switch 625" is cool, but it might not be heavy enough, plus it is an instrumental.
Re: Serious important question
early scorps (first album "lonesome crow") sounds more like a mix of Black Sabbath (literally almost ripped right off at times from the album "Black Sabbath", Uli was chanelling Iommi LARGE) and Jimi Hendrix- look up Yellow Raven and "I'm goin mad" and maybe "sails of Charon" for a better idea- really wide, open and loose shit overall- great stuff but NOT Rockin Deuce material. The possible best early scorps track is "catch your train" tho the beat ain't fast enough, but the guitar work on it is off the fucking hook and the vocal arrangements are killer too
Not familiar enough with Def Leppards early stuff, and since I don't own any of it I would have trouble actually procuring it for use in my silly shit...

Re: Serious important question
haha double post- tho I didn't take any suggestions, this thread pushed me exactly the way I required
The song will be a DIO tune- "Wild One" (the "official music video" on youtube doesn't play on my PC but I have the album and it is PERFECT)
I would have used "Wiped Out" or the cover of "born to be wild" by Raven but don't have either, Owell (tho they're worth checking out trust me)

Re: Serious important question
I've always found pre-Pyromania Def Leppard to be pretty mediocre. A bunch of kids trying to be a heavy metal band. Only when they went more "pop" was their stuff any good.
