sky captain and the world of tomorrow!

movies are cool. here is a place to talk about how cool they are. or maybe how much they suck, sometimes. like that fucking piece of shit 'mac and me'. worst fucking movie ever, a two-hour ad for fucking coca-cola.

Four years later...

Well, what did you think of it?
I loved it.
So many great little nods to classic like Star Wars (Platform 327 and the 1138 address) and King Kong (Kong climbing the Empire State Building in the background and the Venture wrecked underwater) in there and a few other, IIRC.

It's just too bad that it didn't do very well. I would love to see sequels.

Wow.

I cannot believe this.

Mark your calendars: 9/9/07 at 8:56 PM PST.

I agree with DB! :D

This was an awesome movie. It wasn't the second coming, but it was a fun movie, and visually enthralling. It's sad that this bombed and TF did well. :(

i had no idea i hadn't returned to this topic...

yeah, i absolutely love this movie, and would like to see this become a serial a la indiana jones and the like. some of the acting was a little staid, but for the most part it fit with the "period" feel of the pic.
Life is short. STUNT IT!

Gwyneth Paltrow made this movie suck by deciding to NOT utilize any of her acting or emoting skills in it whatsoever. Thus shitcanning any chance of a sequel or franchise of films.

Everyone else in it rocked. Jude Law. Giovanni Ribisi. Even Angelina as a chick Nick Fury ( with a helicarrier even!!)

Gwyneth Paltrow's a no talent bitch and shes going to fuck the new Iron Man movie up the same way. Fucking whore.

I couldnt finish this movie... the gay laser circle beam weapon sound and other things turned me off from this.

Still haven't watched it. I never once heard anything good about it until right now, so maybe I'll check it out.

I was put off for a long time because of Angelina Jolie who i think is a stinker of an actor. However i saw it late part of last year and really liked it. The story isn't one that'll wedge itself in your head but the visual styling will. It looks absolutely gorgeous.
I have never read any of your posts, but from what I can learn I should say that for people who like the kind of posts you deliver, they are just the kind of posts such people like.
