sorry for the seriousnessosity

Post by vynsane »

i just had to copy this because they are such simple yet powerful ways of thinking. make fun of it, ignore it, whatever. found it while stumbling...

This is what The Dalai Lama had to say on 01/01/2004.
All it takes is a few seconds to read and think about.

Instructions for Life in the new millennium from the Dalai Lama:

1. Take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risk.

2. When you lose, don't lose the lesson.

3. Follow the three Rs: Respect for self, respect for others and responsibility for all your actions.

4. Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.

5. Learn the rules so you know how to break them properly.

6. Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.

7. When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.

8. Spend some time alone every day.

9. Open your arms to change, but don't let go of your values.

10. Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.

11. Live a good, honorable life. Then when you get older and think back, you'll be able to enjoy it a second time.

12. A loving atmosphere in your home is the foundation for your life.

13. In disagreements with loved ones, deal only with the current situation. Don't bring up the past.

14. Share your knowledge. It's a way to achieve immortality.

15. Be gentle with the earth.

16. Once a year, go some place you've never been before.

17. Remember that the best relationship is one in which your love for each other exceeds your need for each other.

18. Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.

19. Approach love and cooking with reckless abandon.
Life is short. STUNT IT!

That fucking Dalai Lama. I saw him in Kroeger's Supermarket one time and he tried to snake my case of MGD out of my cart while I was buying some ground chuck for dinner. Since it was the last case in the store, I was all "What the fuck, Dalai Lama?" and he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. Then he said he'd flip a coin for it, and I told him I'd Rochambeaux for it instead. Before he could ask what a rochambeaux was, I planted a boot right in his nutbucket. He went down quicker than SenorJJL's mom at a bj contest. As he writhed on the floor in pain, I said "That's right, Dalai Lama. That's what you get, you MGD stealing bitch!" Then I turned around and guess who was standing there watching the whole thing? Linda Cardellini. "Oh my god," she said " Watching you kick the Dalai Lama's ass just got me soo wet in my panties!" So I took her home, made her a nice pot roast with scalloped potatoes, and fucked the hell out of her all night.

true story. That Dalai Lama is a real douchebag.

The Dalai Lama is insifnificant comapred to the Dark Side of the Force.

...but now that I've read some of his teachings, I feel a little less Sithy. Have I been going about things the wrong way? No one likes me, otherwise I would have more votes in the Moderator Fan's Choice Poll. In the Star Wars threads, all you guys do is complain about my action figures and my poor acting in the prequels. Well...it isn't my fault. Hasbro thinks everyone wants a piece of me. And if you don't like the prequels, don't blame me, go talk to George Lucas. He's the one that wrote the script. Just get off my back. Grrrrrrrr...I'm feeling the Dark Side again. Now piss off.

Nobody blames you Vader. We've all enjoyed your action figures. For many of us, you are the centerpiece of our collections. But greedy Hasbro is overdoing it, and since we already have several versions of you ( a testament to your popularity, that we would buy more than one version of your figure) we would like Hasbro to forgo yet ANOTHER version in lieu of some rarer obscure figures that we've been asking for for some time.

And nobody blames you for the poor writing/acting/directing of the Prequels. When we think of DARTH VADER, we think of old school Classic Trilogy Vader, with the JEJ bass, and the Prowse swagger. Not the whiny Hayden Panati....I mean Christensen version, who we simply refer to as Anakin ( even when he was calling himself Vader in ROTS).

As for the Mod Voting. I'm pretty sure there's some kind of internal political struggle going on at vynsane.com and not to take it too personally. At least you've gotten more votes than Robin.

You rock, Vader. You are what are other iconic villains strive to be. You are the yardstick AND the ruler. Keep up the great work. Oh, and don't pander by doing anymore lightbulb commercials. That shit was beneath you.

Is Positive Boy supposed to be the opposite of Negative Boy or a clone of Richard Simmons? Or is Richard Simmons the opposite of Negative Boy ? Crap. Now I'm confused.

I wouldn't be surprised if Positive Boy WAS Richard Simmons in a fruity costume. Nobody has seen Simmons in forever.

But to answer your question, since I am a radically awesome, manly man chick fucker with lots of personality and charm, then both of those guys are the opposite of me. Fags.

WHAT?!? Two bodies?? What the fuck? When the fuck did this happen? Why cain't nobody stay DEAD no mo'??? Where the fuck is Joe Quesada and his dead means dead rule? This is how unfair the world is. Oprah can go molest African kids whenever she gets the moistened urge, but if I want a fucking prick to stay dead, he pops up and is twice as annoying. That's not fucking fair!!
