Simple yet odd question

We used to vacation down in Florida and the Carolinas

I am trying to put a memory back together regarding what I remmber as being a stretch of highway somewheres that went underwater- anyone know if such a thing exists, I might be blurring a bunch of shit together on this one as often happens

Sounds like the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel. It is 26 miles long and goes above and below the water. It is in Virginia

OK, cos we stayed in Virginia Beach, and I do recall both Virginias being on our route, so that's probably it, thanks KH

BTW, is there any part where you can see through the tunnels into the ocean?? That's the part that I sorta "remember" but thinking about it I just ain't sure- the way I remember it there were kinda clear panels on the way down

I havent been through it in years, I dont recall. Maybe when you first enter the tunnel there is. Dont quote me on that
