This was definitely a good movie. Gorey, action packed, and it had boobs.

One of the few details I remember is that the oracle was a hot redhead with small, yet great, tits.

One thing that bothered me was that the blood, while copious, sorta evaporated in a CGI /PS3 kinda way. It's brilliance in its initial shocking arc of spraying violent beauty fades as it settles out of our consciousness and never actually hits the ground. That much battle would leave the ground black and slippery with the blood of thousands. And yet, theres nary a drop to be seen. I wouldn't have noticed, but there was SO much violence, that once you pick up on that fact, it doesn't go away for the rest of the movie.

The other thing that kept running through my mind was "Ohmigod, the torture it must've been to get into THAT kind of shape." My abs hurt just watching them.

Well they used to do a lot of butt-fucking of the younger male helpers, did they not? The more fucking you do, the better your abs will be.

I'm broke so I haven't been yet, which blows, but I'm happy you fags liked it.

Everyone at my school is blowing their load over this one, but the whole CGI "sheen" to it is a little off-putting so I don't think I'll see it.

I must agree with JJL, despie copious amounts of spooge blowing on and around this film, it REALLY looks like a bunch of cutscenes from a video game, the few long bits I've seen on TV I had a hard time watching-
It does sound fun, but it looks to weird, I'd prolly get dizzy and puke at the theatre so I'll wait for DVD

Iranian leader MAHMOUD AHMADINEJAD has delivered a stinging attack on hit new war epic 300 in his country's New Year address.

The President appeared on TV in Iran yesterday (21MAR07) and accused western powers of trying to "tamper with history by making a film and by making Iran's image look savage".

Ahmadinejad refused to mention the film by name, but it quickly became clear he was referring to the world's number one movie, which surrounds an ancient Greek battle between the armies of Persia and 300 stubborn Spartan warriors.

The film has been hammered by Iranian critics, who have claimed the ultra-violent film insults their ancient culture.

Ahmadinejad weighed into the debate during his televised speech, stating, "By psychological war, propaganda and misuse of the organisations they have themselves created, and for which they have written the rules... they are trying to prevent our nation's development."

In a statement last week (ends16MAR07), JAVAD SHAMGHADRI, the cultural adviser to the Iranian President, insisted the film is Hollywood's attempt to "humiliate" Iran, adding the film was part of a "comprehensive psychological warfare aimed against Iranian culture".

The Daily Show had a field day with that last week. Most funny was their pointing out that Hollywood had given a worse deal to Indians and Asians, as seen in Short Circuit and Sixteen Candles.

BTW, I didn't realize the "Our arrows will blot out the sun"/"Then we shall fight in the shade" is apparently an historically accurate quotation.

If Hollywood was in cahoots with US Govt to "slam" Iranian Culture, they sure picked a boneheaded way to go about it. I bet 1 in 7000 Americans wouldn't know that Persia and Iran have anything to do with one another. I bet they don't even know where the fuck Greece is on a map, ancient or otherwise. People are just fucking stupid and like bloody violence. If you had asked anyone in the audience about the socio-political overtones of the film, they would have let out a greasy fart and asked you when NASCAR was on next.

So thank you, Iranian President Guy, for giving OUR culture much more credit than it deserves.

I saw a perfect rip of it last weekend, all's I am gonna say is that if it had a plot, I might have had something to say about it...

Well, not entirely true- all I could think is how I should have enjoyed it, but somehow I thought it was real crappy, glad I saw it for free

And the "Awesome Abs" everyone was talkin about- I SWEAR that was a great example of AWFUL special effects, sometimes entire groups of them Abs were moving independently of the actors who supposedly owned them

I saw Gerard Butler and David Wenham at Comic Con last year and they did nothing but bitch about how much time they spent in the gym working on those abs, then showed them off. They were real.
