The New Jedi Order

Post by Eternal Padawan »

I just picked up The Unifying Force yesterday. I haven't started it yet since I'm only half way through The Final Prophecy, but I feel a sense of closure. Five years. It's been a long time.

It starts slow, but it gets pretty good. Let me know when you're done, so I don't spoil anything for you.

And technically I haven't even gotten through the epilogue of Force Heretic III. So it'll be a couple days before I start this one.

Since I havent been reading my Insiders ( Spoiler free in '03!), I don't know what they have planned book wise for the future. What comes after NJO?

There's the two Zahn books (yay, yay). The first one is next year (I think) and is about the Chiss finding the ruins of Outbound Project and inviting newlyweds Luke and Mara to investigate. The second comes out after E3 and will hopefully fill in a lot of discrepancies between Zahn's (admittedly far superior) bits concerning the Clone Wars and the films. (Like, if Jorus C'Baoth was Palpatine's Jedi advisor, why does Palpy do so much talking with Yoda and Kit Fisto?)

There are several more Clone Wars novels. One deals with Kit and (I think) Obi-Wan.

A few years from now, there's a duology or trilogy set after the NJO, but as far as I know, nothing's been revealed or leaked about it whatsoever.

Like you, I want a book where the Skywalker twins find out about Padme. I've noticed in recent books (the NJO and Tatooine Ghost), they seem to know a whole hell of a lot that they didn't in books written before the prequels.
