Pirates of the Carribean

movies are cool. here is a place to talk about how cool they are. or maybe how much they suck, sometimes. like that fucking piece of shit 'mac and me'. worst fucking movie ever, a two-hour ad for fucking coca-cola.

I was watching an episode of the Graham Norton chat show with Keira Knightley and noticed what a weird mouth she has. It's like she's wearing someone else's lower jaw. When she speaks the upper and lower jaw don't jive. Very odd. Pretty girl when she keeps her mouth closed it's just the talking she's not good at.
I have never read any of your posts, but from what I can learn I should say that for people who like the kind of posts you deliver, they are just the kind of posts such people like.

Here is the iPhone 7 of Pirates trailers. (Because it has no Jack. Get it?)

It's weird to think this movie was finished like two years ago, and Disney hasn't been able to find a spot for it their release schedule because even though it's a tentpole film in a successful franchise, they have so many MORE successful franchises like Marvel and Star Wars, they don't want to step on their own toes and keep pushing this one back.

i know a lot of people think the series jumped the shark after maybe the second one and are annoyed by anything Depp does, and i haven't even watched the fifth one, even though we own it, but i don't think a reboot franchise will have legs. there would not have been a series without Depp in the first place, the first movie would've had a lackluster showing at the box office and no additional installments would've happened.
Life is short. STUNT IT!

Even though it seems obvious with the term reboot, but only are they rebooting, but Depp is also out.

The first one is a great, fun action film.

They've been trying to recapture that lightning since, with sporadic success in each film. Pirates 2, 3, and 4 are perfect examples why studios shouldn't rush a film and start rolling cameras before the script is 100% complete.

On subsequent viewings, I enjoy 2 and 3 almost as much as the first one. And often watch them all in one viewing like LotR.

4 was weak sauce with a few fun moments.
5 didn’t even pay attention to the mythology established in the first three films and it annoys the shit out of me. Like how Jack got the compass. And the Pirate Lords nine pieces of eight, etc.

The music is great though.

I've seen most of these movies, but it isn't like I really paid close attention to them. They were basically background noise while I did other stuff. I don't even know the order in which they came out. All I know is that one of them had some hot mermaids.

Speaking of pirates...watching Raya and the Last Dragon right now.
It’s not living up to the epicness implied by the trailer, but its B, B- entertaining.
I’m getting my money’s worth.

Pirates of the Caribbean came out TWENTY YEARS AGO today.

And we started this thread that same week to talk about the new Pirates movie…
